Trey sounds like he is singing in 10 degree weather and Chris sound like he sings while he sitting on the toilet constipated. The dream sounds like his balls never dropped. I’ve been saying this for a while now.. Trey doesn’t have a good voice. His vocal ability REALLY lacks, just watch him live. However, I think this is a solid song, one of his best actually. I think he captured the emotions pretty well, and performance wise, he stayed on the pocket, the studio helps of course, but I’m feelin’ the track.

I like Trey… I really do, but honestly… I’m on the fence with this album. I honestly just think he should shelve it. The songs are nice, but are very mediocre compared to the hits of his last album. I understand the fast move Atlantic Records are trying to capitalize with Trey Songz inDEMAND status; which is fairly understandable. The case here though they’re moving to fast…

“Ready” is his foundation, and I believe he should have kept pushing more singles out and if not that at least kept it in a steady beat up until it got PLATINUM status. People is still loving “Ready” and they’re not ready to start listening to something new. He hasn’t even established a solid enough fan base to be moving this fast.

We could of at least been able to enjoy the album a little while longer. The album will flop production wise. The reason I say that is due to the simple fact that he didn’t put to much time in letting himself evolve and grow into his new sound. He needs to find himself as a artist. He has R. Kelly sound…..but is he truly able to pull it off again?

I don’t think Trey Songz is a solid R&B singer, there are plenty of R&B dudes who can blow him out the water. For example, Usher, Tyrese, Maxwell, Robin Thicke etc. Hell Justin Timberlake is not even R&B but can sing better than Trey Songz.
His voice does a lot of shaking if you ask me.

I disagree about Chris Brown, I do think he’s a good vocalist. He’s also much better than Trey. Chris has a dope ass lower register, but I think the music he doesn’t isn’t that good of a representation of his voice.

I’m over Trey Songz, and have been for awhile. I use to like him back when he first started, because he had this real gutter raw R&B vibe to him. That all went away when he started to get a little bit more attention, now he settles for radio friendly records, that don’t tend to have the soul he originally brought to the table. I’m also over this whole sex sells shit, he’s taking it overboard…which makes him look less than an artist. Plus his attitude between album 1 & 3 have definitely changes, and you can tell by interviews.

Someone needs to remind him that it took 3 albums for him to even go Gold, and get a top 10 hit on the Hot 100.

trey you have hit the dirt road, u have dropped two wack singles from the new set while the other set has legs despite dropping 7 songs and not a million seller yet, this should indicate he has yet pay his dues yet. he should have had jam&lewis,r. kelly and other established producers to make his next project a step up, sound wise and subject matter, not sex always, this theme is wearing thin like ball tires. why not release new music jan 2011 start the year off right. I like the song. And Chris Brown absolutely does not sound better than Trey AT ALL. I’ve always liked Trey’s voice, especially back in the day when it sounded kind of raw. I think this album will do well. People underestimate Trey’s fanbase. Do I think he should have waited to put out an album? Yes. Do I think this album will bomb? No. Not at all. I think he is releasing the album to be eligible for the 2011 Grammys. The deadline is late September.

I like the song. The “shaking” you all keep commenting on regarding Trey’s voice is his vibrato. Which I happen to like and I think its what his makes his voice unique. Would I call him a powerhouse vocalist? No. Would I say he can’t sing? Absolutely not. He’s very talented.

You must not sing and know nothing about singing. Chris Brown has strong vocals and can sing his ass off, are you really serious right now?? Don’t let his personal life cloud your opinions regarding his talent. I can’t stand R. Kelly and I think he’s a dirty slut but that doesn’t take away from his vocal abilities and writing. The Dream on the other hand is not a singer, he’s admitted it himself, that’s not rocket science. He does however understand musical notes and knows how to sing along in tune and sound decent similar to Janet.

Trey Songz was really singing on his first and second CD. He’s a singer. But of late, with his new music his singing has went out the window. It’s almost like he’s trying to sound sexy but comes off sounding like Rihanna’s brother. His manager *cough boyfriend* has steered his brand into an image sex driven package. They aren’t really focusing on his vocals anymore but hey, he’s made it to the top. These days that’s all people seem to care about (fans included).

Cory – One singer who you failed to mention was Ginuwine, i think he’s defo one of the best r&b vocalists. Shame we havent from him in a while.

Back in the day i used to think he could sing Trey, but now it just seems alot of it was down to good production.

CHRIS BROWN is a better vocalist than Trey. Chris is a lot more skilled, I’ve heard Chris hit a couple “runs” that made me raise my eyebrows. Trey’s vibrato is wack lol!

But sometimes it takes more than vocal ability to be successful, personality is a big factor. I love Trey’s personality. He is a very confident person regardless if his singing voice is wack or not. I’m sorry but BET doesn’t do many people any justice. Unless your voice is very strong and at times that doesn’t matter you can sound like garbage on BET. I’ve heard Trey live and he was very very good singing voice I was actually surprised because if I had went by listening to him of tv I would have never purchased a ticket to see him perform. As far as putting out cds so close together he is riding the wave of momentum. I don’t think would it have been a good idea for him to release any more singles off of Ready. Him introducing new music is a good thing.
