Jazmine Sullivan premiered the new video for her single, “Holding You Down (Goin’ In Circles)”. The video was directed by Marcus Raboy. Her sophomore album Love Me Back is scheduled to drop on September 28th. Peep the video above.

I guess the vid is made for a younger crowd (those that didn’t already live through these dance-off videos, dance-off movie montages, dance-off commercials …) Since her voice says “grown folks” they definitely need to aim the video at the young crowd. Hope it brings them in for Ms. Jazmine.

THE SONG IS A CERTIFIED BANGER!!! HOT HOT HOT BUT, I didn’t not like the video. I understand they are trying to target the young kids while trying to hit the over 30 demo, but the video was all wrong! The styling and set design was horrible, and Jazmine deserves better! The Nuvo product placement was so obvious it took away from the clip and made it look like a liquor ad. She’s a beautiful woman tho and I REALLY want her to blow up this time. I just think the song and Jazz are too fly for this treatment.
At first I didn’t think this song would be a good first single to me it had more of a mixtape vibe but this video sold it for me. Great job Jazmine…Can’t wait for the album!

i loved the song but i think the video is weak.. but seriously jazmine voice is special. her label and creative team need to put her in the studio with 1 or 2 producers that will craft a album around her voice. and stop with the placement game that’s ruining the music industry. I hope the industry wil take notice and stop with the record delivery and actuall go back to create records on the spot with the artists. so we can get some timeless music again..

I like the song & video. The song has a throwback yet current feel to it..hence the video being a little bit of both as well…throwback and current. I love the cameos from Pete Rock, Kwame, Pepa & Doug E Fresh as well as Missy and I love the recreation Jazmine does from the scene in House Party when Kid N’ Play have a dance off with Sidney & Sharane. Looks liks the video shoot was hella fun. I love Jasmine’s voice. Two thumbs up from me!

Some people act like they’ve never thrown a theme party (and maybe they haven’t). Maybe the concept of the video is a throwback to that era where house parties and dance offs were poppin’. This song is a thrown back homeage to the good a*s music from that decade. OMG! Stop over thinking every aspect of the video (i.e., the Nuvo appearance). Who cares! The song is hot and the artist is HOTTER!

It is a nice song takes you back to a time when you could just have fun. I’m not sure why people are belly aching over product placement its all about getting money and covering costs and the video has a nice vibe.

The video was not that bad. Some of yall once again complain too much. Her videos last era were horrible so this is a definite step up. I like the song and the video was cute. It was set in the late 80s early 90s and of course the teens are going to flock to it because that style is in right now and the adults will also flock because that is their era. I was born in 1989 so I can’t actually relate to this setting but some people in their 30s and early 40s can. She’s doing good but she should work on lip synching better. I like to look at a video and feel like they are singing that live. Anyways I’m so surprised she made a video for this. I thought this was one of the songs she was testing out to see the response for it.
