MUSIC VIDEO: LIL’ WAYNE – “GROUND ZERO” (STARRING SHANELL)
Seems like prison won’t keep Lil’ Wayne from being out of the public eye.
Young Money signee Shanell took it upon herself to conceptualize a visual for his track, “Ground Zero” from Weezy’s rock album, last year’s Rebirth. The video stars Shanell and was directed by Jessica Hatter.
Before Wayne is released from prison in November, he will release his I Am Not A Human Being EP on September 27th, while Shanell is still working on her debut studio album.

i like the song though and i think he should’ve released it. it was wayyyy better than the rock stuff he put out b/c wayne doesn’t know how to do good rock. rock/hip-hop he can do as shown by this track but rock, nope. he chose to borrow from the cr**** punk rock bands that get no respect from either the indie or mainstream crowd because they suck. this is better

The other girl in this video is Reign. She’s a singer from Chicago. I was only interested in the video to see her. It looks like they had a lot of fun making the video. Shanell is pretty minus that egregious nose ring. Lil Wayne is a joke and so is his rock album.

On another note…the songz is whack, but I like the vid. It’s hard to believe Wayne is locked up. He’s still making hits. I guess Young Money is still making trips to the bank. Hopefully Birdman doesn’t spend it all.

Man it’s good to see that music has been able to blur the lines of race and culture, In my day hip/rap with rock was not as embraced as it is today, artist would never go to this extent to put this type of material out unless it was absolute mainstream.
