After much waiting for an official single, former Floetry vocalist Marsha Ambrosius finally gives us a taste of what’s time come from her solo project.
The brand new track, “I Hope She Cheats On You” is the lead single from Marsha often talked about, much anticipated debut solo album, Late Nights, Early Mornings. Little information is known about the new project, however, it’s said to full of collaborations of long-times with whom Marsha has worked with in the past.
No solid release date yet, but the album will be out later this year via J. Records.
I like it, not her best but, her voice is amazing so I could probably listen to anything she sings.
I like the song a lot. She has such an amazing voice, I know that her other songs will probably have more substance. With that being said – I can relate to the song and I like it!!
She looks really good now, more healthy!

i like the song but i wish she would have made the lyrics a little less childish in the beginning …. i guess she wants to get on radio…. anyway, great voice and production.

This sounds so Generic to me, I mean its a cute song but nothing to write home about. She sounds like somebody else i just can’t figure out who. It’s a shame that floetry didn’t work out because that seemed to be the formula she needed. everyone isn’t a solo artist. Im just sayin
wow CL is really late on this, they already play this on the radio. But Marsha I am very disappointed that a talent RnB songstress has taken the ghetto RnB route. What happened to the mature sultry songs like Butterlies, Getting Late, Sunshine etc.
Not crazy about the lyrics for the hook but her voice can make you forget about that. I am still trying the cop the mixtapes. I heard some cuts off those and I was blown away. I think her voice is made for sultry sensuous cuts like “Lay Down” off of “Flo’ology” so I cannot wait for the new release.

Kim is a hoe and she know what everybody thinks of her. I’m sure she gets it. The way she got her fame was trashy and she will forever live with it. She could’ve did other things after her sex tape was “leaked” like helping out girls with low self esteem like herself. She could’ve started charities for sick children and developed a positive rep for hers self but she didn’t. So you can’t be mad that people use her as a reference and I’m sure Marsha has nothing against Kim but if the reference fits…USE IT!

I completely feel you and agree, I just believe my ex-floerty fav is above bashing another woman and I seriously doubt Kim gives a damn. (I like how no one talks about Ray J) I personally believe Kim was already on her way up sex tape or not, its obvious she has done something right because people are still watching her show years post sex tape. She could habe easily said Ray J, but its always easier to target the woman.

Marsha has dumbed herself down. The song was suspect just glancing at the title, I’m not surprised at the sound. It’s very hood friendly from the beat to the lyrics. She’s a talented writer and singer and all but we can turn to ATL artist’s for music like this. I was expecting something with just a little more depth and meaning. Don’t come all the way from the UK via Jersey and give us ATL.
And not the fact that she mentioned Kim Hoedasian, that girl’s head will literally explode when she hears someone mentioned her name in a song.
On a positive note she looks good with the weight loss. She hasn’t bleached her skin, I think they just made the photo brighter.

Anyone who is a true Floetry fan knows that this ist 100% Marsha. She didn’t dumb herself down, or “go ghetto”. This is who she is. She keeps it real. That’s why I loved Floetry so much. They put out honest music, and had such a range. Sometimes is “Butterflies” and sometimes it “I hope she cheats on you”. That’s life! LOL. It’s something I’m sure every woman can relate and I’m sure the song wasn’t meant to be taken as seriously as some of your are taking it. Anyhoo, I love the song! I love Marsha! @ #38 You obviously don’t know how the music industry works. It takes time to put an album out, if she wanted to give people a shitty album she would’ve released it by now. I heard Marsha say herself she wants every inch of the album perfected before she puts it out.
