I agree. Music today is being butchered by the clumps. Every song is starting to sound the same. I feel like ever since Lady GaGa came out with her hits, EVERYONE is going for that same futiristic-type sound if not similar. It’s getting rediculous. Whatever happened to Usher making songs like “Confessions” or even “You Make Me Wanna”.
Usher has fallen off big time. As an artist you are suppose to grow and mature. Usher’s fans used to be middle-late teens up until late 20′s but now it seems like he’s catering to 11/12 year olds i.e Justin Biebers fanbase.
Well I like the way “Lil’ Freak” bumps in my truck & “There Goes My Baby” is a nice R&B smooth groove. He has a little bit of everything for everyone.

Sometimes I see his pics and be like whatever but when I hear him on the radio I’m reminded why he’s needed in the game he has a quality voice that moves you and get u feeling good.

He should have put out Mars vs. Venus or Making Love as a next single. Maybe even Pro Lover. These young garbage artists have ruined the industry to whereas now everyone wants to appeal to the teenage generation. Usher will be 32 years old in October, he’s a grown man. He still knows how to make good Soul/R&B music. His label just wants to sell music to this young generation. Sad. I see he has what looks like a hat in the 3rd picture, I hope he’s not backtracking. Let the “Yeah” era go. He’s been maturing with Here I Stand and Raymond vs. Raymond. I hope he continues with that.

SIMONE, I agree completely. I consider USHER A SELL OUT! It kinda offended me when he was so damn quick to change his sound right when all of his urban singles failed miserable on the Billboard Hot 100! I hate when artists do that, they make music that they wanted to make or that they’ve been making but then record a pop single and once that does good, they go right back in the studio and re-record music in that trendy genre. How could any real music artists do that? Usher has an amazing, soulful, R&B voice, but he HAS HORRIBLE LYRICS! Everything from Papers to OMG, to There Goes My Baby, and now a second Dance single that sounds like a Justin Beiber song? Usher, Jay Sean, Akon, Iyaz, and many more NEED TO SHOWCASE THEIR GROWN AGES!
