New music from Lloyd has hit the scene as the 24-year-old, who’s now signed to Polow da Don’s Zone 4 label via Interscope, puts the finishing touches on his fourth album, King of Hearts.
The Patti LaBelle-sampled and Polow-produced “Lay It Down” is the lead single from the album, which is slated for release early 2011. It includes writing and producing credits from Jim Jonsin, Ester Dean, Bruno Mars and more.
Lloyd says, “It feels good to start fresh with Polow and Interscope, making music is fun again. We took my sound to another level with “Lay It Down”. It’s a true R&B sound that’s missing from music right now.” Check out Lloyd’s new promo pics below.

Fantasia was spotted heaving a heart-to-heart with Antwaun Cook less than 24 hours after being released from hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina on Friday.
According to Radar Online:
The American Idol winner — who allegedly attempted to commit suicide when married Cook told her their relationship was over – met up with him at a secluded park near her lavish waterfront mansion.
And the VH1 cameras were rolling on the reunion for Fantasia’s reality show Fantasia for Real.
Fantasia reportedly overdosed on aspirin and sleeping pills after Cook’s wife — Paula Cook — accused her of being a home wrecker in divorce documents this week.
