R&B singer, Fantasia Barrino was released from the hospital on Wednesday (August 11) after being admitted on Monday for overdosing on ‘aspirin and a sleeping aid.’ The medical mishap happened after reading a child custody complaint from Paula Cook, the wife of her lover, Antwaun. In the lawsuit Mrs. Cook claims that the singer had a year-long affair with her husband.

The singer’s manager Brian Dickens released these statements:

Fantasia believed Mr. Cook when he told her he was not happy in his marriage and his heart was not in it,” Dickens said. “She believed him when he told her he and Mrs. Cook separated in the late summer of 2009. She believed Mr. Cook when he told her he lived elsewhere. [ SOURCE ]

North Carolina is one of the few states that allows a spouse to file a lawsuit against a third-party or mistress.

In related news, her third studio is still schedule to be released on August 24th and her reality show in still slated to premiere later this year.
