Janelle Monáe shows off some funky, fancy footwork while performing “Tightrope” on So You Think You Can Dance on Thursday. Her latest video for “Cold War”, the second single from her debut album The ArchAndroid, also premiered on Thursday.
In related news, “Tightrope” has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for ‘Best Choreography’. The 2010 VMAs are scheduled for September 12.
Former Danity Kane starlet and current Dirty Money member Dawn Richard seems to be working on a solo project.
The Trina-assisted “Bottles” (produced by Rob Halladay) is the first single and offering we’ve heard from Richard’s debut studio album, A Tell-Tale Heart.
Honestly, it was a little weird to see a mention of a solo single from Dawn, considering that Dirty Money’s Last Train To Paris album hasn’t even dropped yet.
Guess who was spotted heading to the studio. Hint: He is currently working on his fourth album and premiered his third film earlier this week.
