Usher poses at the Georgia Aquarium for his New Look Trains 600 Youth event during Powered by Service Day on Thursday (August 5) in Atlanta.
The event included workshops in the areas of safe driving skills, health and fitness, the environment and Haiti relief, as well as a panel discussion on the topics of youth leadership, service and the importance of education.
His organization, New Look, will hold its first World Leadership Awards Friday night to honor individuals and organizations for their recognition of youth as leaders.
Here’s the new video from Kanye West for “Power”, the first single from his upcoming fifth album. In an interview with NY Mag’s Vulture, Marco Brambilla, the video’s creator, calls it a “video portrait”.
“It starts with a very tight shot introducing him that’s kind of a reinvention of a neoclassical painting. It pulls back from the shot, without any cuts, and we reveal the video canvas, populated by all these characters who are depicted in various stages of undress and decadence. The iconography comes from Roman iconography, Renaissance iconography, and it connects to the sexuality of the music as well. As we reveal the setting for it, there’s a feeling of a moment of transition for him. A fall from grace, if you will. It visualizes power, and him as the icon as power, and then at the end of the piece it challenges the power that I set up at the beginning. It’s an elliptical piece of storytelling.

The new track, “Right Above It,” produced by Kane Beatz and featuring newcomer and fan-favorite Drake is the lead single from a new EP, I Am Not A Human Being, with the release of his next album, The Carter IV to follow.
Wayne plans to release the EP on his birthday, so be on the look out for it on September 27th, which is not far from his own release date.
