Fantasia Barrino’s rep has officially confirmed reports that the American Idol winner was rushed to a North Carolina hospital Monday night after a “medication overdose.”
Barrino was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Pineville at about 8:55 p.m. Monday, according to sources.
The sources say doctors at CMC noted that Barrino’s condition was not life-threatening.
The sources did not know what type of medication was involved, and it was not known whether the overdose was accidental or intentional. [source]
This news comes a day after Barrino made headlines for being named in a lawsuit and accused of making a sex tape with a married man, Antwaun Cook.

The only way to not be involved is to stop messing with married men. If they want to leave they need to be divorced,period!

This really saddens my soul. Fantasia is way too special to be doing stuff like this. I really hope all the people she touched will remember how she made them feel, and in return, pray for her because thats what she needs instead of gossip. From reading the claim that this woman filed against fantasia…..She states that her and her husband separated oficaly in July and he had moved out of the house already… Fantasia and this man Met in August which means that he was not with his wife and prolly told her that he was either separated or getting a divorce… The lawsuit is saying that fantasia hindered her and her husband from reconciling….
