In related news, “Tightrope” has been nominated for an MTV Video Music Award for ‘Best Choreography’. The 2010 VMAs are scheduled for September 12.

Anyways Monae is flawless to me.
I’m for orginality but she sings the same song and crepeating the chorus over and over again. Same outfit again as well. I’m glad she loving what she’s doing but I don’t get what she’s doing. Too much James Brown influence and not enough of that unique quailty.

I’m really trying to at least somewhat like her .. I’m starting to get past the “annoyingness” of her wearing the same outfit and hairstyle but I really do not think she can sing. Her voice is a tad bit annoying and always sounds shaky to me ..
