I saw the show last night and I was happy to see Rihanna there, she looked cute and sounded good. I enjoyed Usher, Justin B., and that group who sang ” the dog days are over” I really enjoyed that, and Mary J killed that song. GaGa won the most and I think that she deserved it, I do think Katy P. should have won something too, but um yeah Gaga pretty much ran everything else. She is beasting this industry and at the same time entertaining me, so i’m not complaining. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, William did his thing, I am a fan of his and all his dopeness. I liked his whole look including his plastic hair, hes a beast also. And CHER, that women know she has some bad ass genes cause she has one of the most beatiful figures, skin and features I have ever seen for a women, let alone a women of her age. She always was beautiful but she just trully made every body else look like squat when she walked out on stage with that black see through outfit and a black motorcycle jacket on top last night. This year’s VMA’s had the makings of being great…ON PAPER. GREAT SET, GREAT LOCALE, GREAT LIGHTING, but the performances were LACKLUSTER. Lil Mama should have came on stage to liven it up or something. PRESHOW.. Will i Am and Nicki was just OKAY.. Justin Beiber..LIP SYNC THE WHOLE SONG? really? MJJ used to sing and dance at the same time as a child….It can be done. Opening act was LACKLUSTER.. Eminem is not the SAVIOR or GOD of HipHop like MTV wants y’all to think? He and Rihanna was just OK. There was nothing memorable about any of the performances. Well Usher did his thing. Drake was just OKAY, Mary killed it though. I guess they had to be tame in light of last year, but tame and YAWNFEST are two different states of mind. LADY GAGA is good and all, but some of those awards should’ve gone to BEYONCE. THis is actually the year Kanye shoulda said sumthing.lol It was just a C+ in my book. CHelsea Handler did good as a hostess, however. Kanye’s self-deprecating performance was just okay. There were not many WOW moments like before. When Janet and MJJ ‘danced’ together–that’s memorable. When Pink flew across the sky in glitter and shit–that’s memorable. WHen lil’mama ‘performed’ her finale with Jigga and A. Keys–thats memorable. THis year you will walk away and say ” Wow the set was nice.” THat’s about it.

Eminem & Drake I dont see the hype at all. Eminem was decent. Rihanna was Rihanna. Drake’s flow is not the business live, I was excited about his performance, but he is OVERHYPED big time. His hands are kinda wild, all over the place, you would think he is concentrated too damn much while on the stage. I didnt feel Mary on this, the whole performance was all over the place.
Taylor Swift, I was disgusted how she was using that controversy, when I saw they introduced her with last year’s video of the incident, I was sadly surprised she would do that & have the nerve to try to sing, she just cant sing to save her life, not only she is boring but just ugh, she is the most overhyped act, her singin is beyond average and she has zero stage presence, please stop. Stop also the lil innocent fairy tale girl image, you’re grown.
Nicki Minaj is like Drake, ppl have high expectations from both, why is Nicki always using pre recorded vocals or just singin/rappin through the song? I love her performed songs but she is just much more excited in studio, she needs to work harder on the performance skills.
Kanye was great, it was differennt and artistic, but the autotune part at the end was just so terrible my ears were bleedin. But I love that he takes risks & love the song. Good job.
The awards. Last night Beyoncé got robbed for best dance, best pop & best female video, she cleearly had the best & most impactful video last year but they chose to dispatch the winners givin to Gaga, Brit & Taylor. This year the white chick Gaga of course wins everything and they make sure Telephone doesnt win so Beyoncé couldnt have any shine either. Racist. Also, excepting Telephone winning for Best collaboration which makes Beyoncé winning one award (nominated 8 times), there was no other black artist who won. On to the next one was better than Im not afraid video, lets be honest! And so on, RIhanna was robbed, no nominations! But Gagag was deserving but MTV is racist & shady as hell. They dont even have R&B anymore in their categories. I guess the BET awards are there to glorify black stars.

Chris Brown needs to show these people how to perform. He’s now a better performer than Usher. If Usher keeps doing these pop performances where he’s lip syncing and dancing like he’s a teenager, Chris will quickly overtake him in that area. Something happened. Usher’s performance in 2004 compared to the other night was so much better. Ush may have lost it. He can still sing, but his dancing was horrible, I don’t see how anyone could see it any differently if you know his history of performances.

Eminem never looks happy and he followed suit with this performance. I don’t think he deserved all those awards. I was surprised to see Rihanna because she did an interview saying she was filming. I had a feeling she would dye her hair red as her next big “hair move,” remember she’s coming out with a new album… I’ve never been impressed by her voice, she was just okay, which is what I usually expect. I think Usher lost his it factor. I stopped liking Drake a long time ago, as I expected to. His live performance is wack, always. I think BoB is overrated, his two hits are big because of other people. I didn’t have much opinion on the Taylor Swift incident until reading all these comments. I agree that she should have forgiven a long time ago. Her performance was pretty poor. Kanye needed to make that song for himself.
