Rihanna debuts her brand new single, “Only Girl (In the World)” this morning on On-Air With Ryan Seacrest.
The new track comes from Rihanna’s fifth studio album, rumored to be titled Loud. The track is produced by Stargate, with whom Rihanna has crafted her #1 hit (and others), “Rude Boy.”
Although no official album release date has been confirmed, it’s rumored that Rihanna will release Loud via Def Jam on November 2nd.

For those that said urban radio won’t touch it, most “urban” radio listeners aren’t buying music now a day. They’re downloading it illegally. You cater to your audience — the one that pays for music. I can’t fault her for finding her money spot and hitting it.
This song definitely does that. It’s different from her last few singles. And, I like it a whole lot more than I liked “Russian Roulette,” which was definitely a grower.
People want to dance and have fun. I’m sure this album will facilitate that as does this song.
It’s about time that urban radio diversify and embrace different types of music. Take OMG by Usher — that’s a great song — and it’s way better than a lot of the other ish he released as of late. So, what did he do? He went right back to that zone on DJ Got Us Falling In Love. Don’t be stupid people. It’s a business. When you start buying albums, then you MIGHT be able to dictate what artists release. But, if you’re kazaaing yourself into a coma / limewiring your life away, you don’t really get a say, unless it’s on a blog.
