Here’s Nicki Minaj’s promo video for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. Nicki will give her first-ever televised solo performance during the pre-show with “Your Love” which is set to kick off Sunday, September 12, at 8 PM (EST).
In a statement announcing her participation, Nicki said:
“I am truly honored to be a part of this year’s VMAs. Just yesterday I was an underground female rapper. See, Barbz? Dreams do come true.”
She’s also offering to make 10 of her fans’ dreams come true by offering 10 front-row seats to her performance. For information on the contest, follow @NickiMinaj and @MTVTJ. Winners will be announced on Friday, September 10.

Well I see you watched the BET Hip Hop Doc on Female Rappers. No, you would not be able to take over rap mixing styles of other other rappers, as all artists do by the way, I mean all artists are inspired by other artists. You would have to be talented and put your on spin on it. Nicki is talented and has put her on flavor and personality in her style. Like it or not she is relevant and she is an exciting artist and she has resuscitated female rap. The game needed her. I use to be back and forth with nikki her interviews can showcase her intelligence and then some are dumb down, her music can to hard with various personality and play with voices then it also can be dumb down but Im beginning to realize she has no limitations an unpredictable delivery showing she challenge herself. She’s unique!
I’m so thankful for the First Amendment and open forums where we can all discuss our opinions. I love that in this country we can say how we feel even if it goes against the grain of what is popular.
