Meet Brandon Howard. “B. Howard,” as he is known in the industry, has successfully established himself as an award-nominated songwriter and producer. His creative strengths sprung from a long bloodline of musical talents including his grandmother, Rock and Roll’s Hall of Famer, Josephine Howard of the gospel group, “The Caravans” and well as through his mother, R&B/soul singer, Miki Howard. B. Howard’s musical proficiencies were further developed through his close ties with the legendary Jackson family. From a very young age, this influential bond has been a part of what has shaped his imminent career. As a producer and songwriter, Howard has worked with various artists, from Ne-Yo to Chris Brown to Lupe Fiasco.

B. Howard is now stepping out and embarking on his own solo career as an artist. Over the summer, he released his first studio album, Genesis which climbed the Billboard Tokyo album charts. Howard’s talents of percussion and piano, along with his ability to combine old school and new school music, have gained him global recognition. He is currently performing overseas in Japan and preparing for an international tour.

Well it’s the return of the Off the Wall jheri curl,lol. He does look like a cross between a classic Michael and Taimak. However, there have been countless artists in the past who have built their careers based off that look alone and don’t sustain. He may come from a famous family, and his connection to the Jackson family is a plus, but he will still have to work just as hard as anyone else. Back in the day that would get you far, but not today. Supermodel sounds decent, but I rather wait until I here some other material before I become fully interested in his music.

This song is a hot mess. I would expect more coming from Mikki Howard’s son. His mom was so underrated with that powerhouse voice and she kept a live band behind her. When I clicked play I guess I expected to hear live instruments not Euro-trash dance mixes. But I guess that is what the kids like today.
