  1. Paradise

I support this movie and glad to see Faith Evans get a great part.

  2. Surprise

WOW- Faith and Florence definately favor. Can’t wait to see the movie.

  3. Brandone

Damn, Faith looks a LOT like Florence…I never noticed until now. That’s crazy weird. And Teraji looks kinda like Diana…That would be a sick movie.

ohhh. i cannot wait to see this movie…my girls and i started a book club recently and we are reading “for colored girls” the cheropoem as our 1st selection. looks like the film is going to remind me of “women of brewster place”…idk, i hope it’s fresh and innovative.

People-this is a movie. If you’re looking for a movie to uplift you, then you’re searching in the wrong place. No director is that good.

I’ve chosen not to waste my time b/c I feel like I’ve seen it already. Color Purple, Waiting to Exhale, etc. Same stuff, different day.

I’ve given up trying waiting on Hollywood to depict Black women positively, b/c that’s not their agenda. They want us all to be in mamie roles or acting a fool-why do u think loud mouth Mo’Nique is doing so well? She Hollywood’s perfect stereotype personified.

I always thought Taraji looked like a young Diana Ross. WOW! Faith favors Florence Ballard a lot. Does anyone remember Faith played in “Fighting Temptations” -she has a little acting under her belt.

@ 40, he can sit down right up until he gives you a role huh? lol

People really need to lay off Tyler, as far as I’m concerned he’s the only Black director that I know of that’s putting out pieces that are beneficial to us, and also Lee Daniels and a few others. It’d be nice to begin to see Tyler utilize his studio to filter other Black films too. Say what you want about Tyler, but he’s done the Black community a major service and one that’s positive.

To everyone whining about actors and singers and movie roles, keep it pushing. It takes time.

  8. boycott ignorant american negro men

It is pitiful that beautiful, talented christian american girl like Brandy etc has had no man to appreciate their lovely womanliness in years.

I heard Tom Joyner say that his son Oscar has married an Ethiopian he has nothing in common with, while our beautiful Black American princesses walk around single and lonely. WE NEED TO BOYCOTT ALL OF THESE DUMB NEGRO MEN WHO MARRY OUTSIDE THEIR CULTURE AND THEIR RACE.

I WONT BE LISTENING TO TOM JOYNER AGAIN, AND I WONT ALLOW HIM TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF ME ON HIS CRUISES, ETC.

IF HE WANTS TO PASS HIS LEGACY AND WEALTH OUTSIDE OF HIS COMMUNITY, THEN HE NEEDS TO ASK ETHIOPIANS TO SUPPORT HIM.

STAND UP BLACK AMERICAN WOMEN. IN MOST CASES WE HAD TO RAISE THESE NEGRO AMERICAN MEN ALL BY OURSELVES.

Can’t wait to see Tyler Perry’s new movie and Faith does resemble Florence Ballard
