After successful reviews of his Saturday Night Live performances, Kanye West finalizes a release date for his new album, which has confirmed to be titled My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy.
It seems as though the famed rapper will go head-to-head with newcomer and fan favorite, Nicki Minaj with her debut album, Pink Friday on November 23rd.
West has been holding his fans over with new music on what he likes to call “Good Friday,” however he addressed on his Twitter that he may skip a couple of Fridays due to the leaks of unfinished music that he really wants to include on his album.
“It’s messed up that one hacker can mess everything up for everyone. I love to take a year to finish my songs and deliver them to you guys in there most completed form.
It would have seemed like since I give free music every week even the lowest form of human being would respect that enough not to leak unfinished songs from my real album…”
The date chosen for the release is so interesting. Nicki will be in direct competition with West on what was supposed to be her day.
JAZMINE SULLIVAN PUSHES ALBUM BACK
Looks like Jazmine Sullivan is pushing back her highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Love Me Back.
The original release date for the album was October 5th, then November 2nd, and now the album will release November 30th, the same day that Keri will release her sophomore album, No Boys Allowed and Ciara will finally drop her oft delayed Basic Instincts.
She is currently promoting her second single, “10 Seconds,” the follow-up to the Missy Elliott-assisted first single, “Holdin’ You Down (Goin’ In Circles).” Jazmine’s album will contain collaborations with Salaam Remi, Los da Mystro, Toby Gad, No I.D. and Ne-Yo.
CEE-LO REVEALS ALBUM COVER
Cee-Lo reveals the album cover for his upcoming third studio album, The Lady Killer. This will be Cee-Lo’s first solo album since 2004′s Cee Lo Green… Is the Soul Machine and focusing on famed duo, Gnarls Barkley. The Lady Killer is expected to hit stores November 9th.
Its about time that Kanye decided to release his album, and its stragically placed on Nicki Minaj’s album release day for marketing and promotion purposes I’m sure. Looks like Kanye’s album will be more than his purposely leaked songs on his Good Friday blog. Not really liking Cee-Lo’s album cover…he is way more creative than that.
I knew Jazmine Sullivan was going to push that album back. It was supposed to come out today and I had just heard she was coming out with one. How about they give her some promo. It’s so many tv shows she could be booked for. What’s the point in being on a label if you’re not using that to your advantage? Girl go on The View or something. She might as well be independent because her label is not doing sh*t for her.
I think Kanye should cancel this album. It’s obviously not his time right now. Just wait until next year. It doesn’t feel like Kanye season.
