On Thursday (October 14) at New York’s famed Apollo Theater, music superstar Prince announced that he’s going on tour with his band, the New Power Generation, and other performers including Janelle Monáe, Sheila E., Esperanza Spalding, Lalah Hathaway, Cassandra Wilson and more.
Dubbed “Welcome 2 America”, Prince says the event is “best described as what we’ve all been waiting for” and advises to “bring friends, bring your children and bring foot spray ’cause it’s gon’ be funky.” Although no official dates have been announced, the tour is scheduled to kick off in December. I guess he’s been hit by the nature of the beast as well. Going on tour? Ha! The last concert I went to featuring Prince was the worst concert I’ve attended in my life! Absolutely HATE his new music!!! Where’s Apollonia 6 at?

This Press conference was very reminiscent of Mj’s final press conference announcing his concert return. It is very eerie. Similar wardrobe,glasses & vague announcement.
But its Prince way of letting everyone know he is the last black music superstar of his generation left… U need to bow to to him & pay homage. Because there is no one better left live to see. Make sure u don’t miss this new tour U won’t regret it. Bump what that fool said. Prince is the best live…

Prince reminds me of Michael with the shades that he has on. Just seeing him up there makes me think about MJ and how wonderful his 02 Arena shows were going to be.There is only one Micheal Jackson, and I miss him dearly. Prince is a living legend and an Icon, and I would not miss this concert for the world. Life is short, and I dont know if Prince or Sade will do anymore tours after these considering they may want to retire and enjoy the fruits of their labor. So I will be going to both concerts to witness for myself greatness at its best.

EXACTLY!!!!! but Prince has already sold over a 100 million records already in his career. He has nothing to prove in that regard & not many artist is selling many units anyway.
Prince is smart and makes deals where he gets paid up front for his new music so record sells don’t matter to him anymore. His bank account is already stacked before his new music even hits the public……….But amen to everything else U said

I see people whining and complaining about how real artists get no shine well Prince is a real artist and I don’t see people showing him love. Antwerpen) and then he concert in Holland. It was great
