After an appearance on BET’s 106 & Park’s 10 year anniversary special last night, Ginuwine has decided to drop his official first single, “What Could’ve Been.” The new track was produced by Melvin “Saint Nick” Coleman and co-written by Attozio and Ginuwine himself.
The track is taken from Ginuwine’s upcoming seventh album, Elgin, which is slated to drop via Notifi Music Group at the top of 2011.
Rapper Kanye West premiered his a 35-minute short film entitled Runaway last night (October 6) at the London’s British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). In the screen production, Kanye falls for a girl, who happens to be a phoenix, after she crashes down on earth “from another world.” Before the actual premiere, West introduced his production, talked about what inspired the film and answered questions for about 2 hours:
Dressed in a black jacket, large brown belt and black army boots, West welcomed the audience saying London felt like a “second home”. He added the film was “an overall representation of what I dream”, inspired by artists like Picasso and Matisse. Introducing the feature he said: “Purple Rain, The Wall, Michael Jackson’s Thriller – I wanted to do a modern version of that.” [READ MORE]
West directed and wrote the film with art director, Vanessa Beecroft and producer, Jonathan Lia.
No word on when or if the film will be debuted in the US any time soon.
R&B/Pop singer Chris Brown stopped by The Angie Martinez Show yesterday (October 6). The artist spoke about the cancelled tour with Usher, dating after his relationship with Rihanna as well as his new discernment of true friends:

Rapper Waka Flacka Flame recently interviewed with MTV News earlier this week. The Riverdale, Georgia native talked about his relationship with Gucci Mane and how reading about Niccolò Machiavelli’s mind games helped inspire his latest album, Flockaveli. The rapper then went on to make sure that we all know that he’s ahead of the game:

Cee-Lo Green stopped by BBC’s Later with Jools Holland Show and performed the uncensored version of his latest single, “F**k You”. The former member of Gnarles Barkley debuted a lyric video for the song back in August and has reached over 6 million views since then.
Green’s album, The Lady Killer, will hit stores on November 9, 2010.
