‘ROUND THE WAY: MICHAEL JACKSON TOPS FORBES LIST + ‘THRILLER’ MOVIE?


Following his passing in June 2009, the legendary icon, Michael Jackson has come out on top on the Forbes Magazine’s Top Earning Dead Celebrities List. According to Forbes, Jackson’s estate brought in a total of $275 million over the past 12 months, which is more than the earnings of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Madonna. Jackson also out-earned the other 12 deceased stars on the list – combined. This is mostly in part to his documentary film, This Is It. Congrats to the King of Pop!

Singer Chris Brown was spotted attending the opening night of Rain – A Tribute To The Beatles at Neil Simon Theatre in New York City.

Actress Rosario Dawson was also spotted last night (October 26) at the movie premiere of Unstoppable at Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California.

MAG SCAN/COVERS: RIHANNA GRACES MARIE CLAIRE + PROMOTES PICTUREBOOK AT NYC BARNES & NOBLES

Singer Rihanna posed for the December 2010 issue of Marie Claire magazine. In an interview with the publication’s UK edition, the singer talked about her upcoming album as well as what she has learned since her break-up with Chris Brown:

On what she learned from her last relationship:
“God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, ‘What did I do to deserve this?’ Why was it backfiring on me?’ But I needed that wake-up call in my life. I needed a turning point, and that’s what God was giving to me.”

On moving on from her past:
“I remember I was in New York at the Trump Hotel and I woke up and I just knew I was over it. It was a different day. I felt different. I didn’t feel lonely,” she recalls. “I felt like I wanted to get up and be in the world. That was a great, great feeling.” [READ MORE]

EVENTS: ‘FOR COLORED GIRLS’ MOVIE PREMIERE IN NYC

The premiere of Tyler Perry‘s upcoming film, For Colored Girls was held last night (October 25) at the Ziegfeld Theatre New York City. Many celebrities graced the red carpet from Janet Jackson to the author of the original 1975 play, For Colored Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Wasn’t Enuf.
