You know what. I saw her and SVU last night, and I noticed that she’s not that good of an actress. In precious she did an okay job, but the work I’ve seen from her since then has been kinda horrible, like in “Just Wright”. I’m trying to give her the benefit of the doubt, and not just say she can’t act…but she’s got to do better. LOL

no matter what her skill set is, when you are seen as an object, crappy roles will be all that is offered.

i believe she is better than she has shown but as long as she plays these superficial roles, she will remain marginalize.

I think she is a good actress ,but i have to agree she did not do that well in Just Wright. She look good in Dejavu, The movie she made with Outcast, even the small role she had in Hitch.

Deja Vu was a dansel in distress type film. Beyonce could have played that part. Besides, the film sucked anyway. Denzel haven’t made a good film since Training Day. Paula has never been in a good film, period. I know I am in the minority b/c I hated Precious.

I think she is a beautiful person inside and out, I love her husband and his music and I love them as a couple. I think she could do great but so far, she has not been in anything good that makes her a quality actress.

With better material, she will become better. Quality material often brings out quality work. She haven’t had THAT role yet.

Ask yourself one question. If she looked like Whoopi, would you feel the same? I can honestly say if she was unattractive and acted the way she does, I would have written her off.

If she looked like whoppi, i’m sure her acting wouldn’t be questioned.. it’s just like people saying Halle isn’t that good of an actress, while that may be an opinion..it’s complete bullshit. If she wasn’t as beautiful as she is, her acting wouldn’t be questioned. It just seems like those who are clearly attractive including men..their talents are always being questioned. I’m not saying Paula is this amazing actress, or she’s Halle or something (b/c she hasn’t been given a role to showcase her talent yet, but I’m sure ya’ll can understand). Even the best actors and actresses have done bad movies.

Well, people said Farrah Fawcett was a mediocre actress until she did “The Burning Bed”. People said Halle Berry was a mediocre actress until she won an Oscar for “Monster’s Ball”. N/A, what are you talking about? Paula Patton is obviously half white; you’d know that even if she didn’t say she was. What do you mean you’d never seen a white woman look like that before? She looks white mixed with black, not the other way around.

Paula Patton is very beautiful! She’s definitely one of the prettiest chicks in the entertainment industry. I love how she looks because her face is interesting. She has mostly Caucasian facial features, but her skin tone and hair come from her Negroid side. The outfit is a hotmess though!

@YES!!! Oh, yes she did leave SUV. She was hired by the producers of L&O to do a reoccurring role as the new ADA for, I believe, five episodes. Filming had already begun on the fist episode that she was to appear in when she got the news that she was chosen to do MI4. The L&O producers respectfully let her out of her contract so that she could start work on MI4. They literally had to “rewrite” the end of the episode and hire another actress for that role.
