After months of speculation, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have confirmed that they are expecting a child. The duo sat down with Access Hollywood in a three-part interview to confirm the news.
“Yes, we are pregnant. This is true,” Carey, 41, said. “It’s been a long journey. It’s been tough because I’ve been trying to hold on to a shred of privacy.”
Husband Nick Cannon, 30, joined the interview to talk about the “absolutely emotional” news, adding, “The greatest gift on earth is a child.”
Carey, who also told of a miscarriage two years ago, would not reveal her due date. She would only say “it’s still early” and “expecting is great.” Ever-supportive Cannon said of the loss, “It strengthened our relationship so much … she handled it so well.” [SOURCE]
According to sources, the couple is due in March and is expecting a baby boy. Congrats to them!!

So happy for her! I feel like I can pinpoint when the miscarriage was because there was a period in 2008 when she was very stiff and seemed almost fragile (which was reflected in her voice). She’s about to smash it with her christmas album too!

I am so happy for Mariah. While I like her music, if she decided not to release another album for a long time and focus instead on her family, I would not be mad. For some people, having a family of their own is the true success. Again, congrats!
