Actor Will Smith and his daughter Willow seen outside their hotel in New York City on Monday night in New York City. Willow is also pictured below with her mother actress Jada Pinkett-Smith heading out earlier in the evening.
The young pop star premiered her brand new video on 106th & Park earlier that day and cried when they presented her with her first plaque. Willow will be celebrating her 10th birthday this Halloween and is expected to perform live on Ellen on November 2nd. View 106 & Park video below.

Cute kid. I hope her parents stress education over fame and fortune. It’s okay for children to have an outlet and “express” themselves; however, the formative years can never be replaced and it is the time when they learn the basics of life.
Jada doesn’t play fashion wise I see where Willow gets it…but anyways, this is cute, proud of her.

When willow starts singing about sex and boys at 9-10 years old, thats when you can sit over there and talk about she’s too grown. Polish doesn’t make her grown. I think people are not seeing the big picture here. This is not Willow who wants the fame. It’s Will and Jada who want her to be famous. I think Jada is really pushing this because she always wanted to be a musical star and now she can do that through Willow. This entire family has issues. Will and Jada I hear have an open relationship and I also hear that they both have relationships with the same sex. And look how they play with gender roles with Willow and Jaden. Willow seems more male and Jaden more female. This is all by design and they will make more money as they go. Why do you think Jaden’s hair is so long? All black Disney stars have that look. That Corbin Blu look. These people are not good parents and it’s obvious and now they are trying to make Willow into this fashion thing by playing with her look every five seconds. I’m already annoyed by this child who care barley read.

I am not a hater but I am praying for Willow. I pray when she sings live that she really can sing because if this is all studio she is really gonna be ripped to shreds. I pray she don’t be lip synching either. I pray that she spends the time needed with her school lessons clearly for a nine year old about to be ten she was not reading that plaque at her age level. Jaden hmmm, but i can say that the oldest child Trey is on another level he is where he should be going to school into sports and living the live of a child yes he was in to a little show biz but it was a certain amount and not overwhelming. I credit his mom, thank God.
Why is it that if some people disapprove of the way this child is being raised thy are seen as hating on a child or of being jealous .
Most of us are quite cognizant of the custom that responsible parents guide their children, set the rules for them, and pray that they will turn out well.
Any celebrity with money and connections can buy fame for their children- most of them chose not to – Many go to great lengths to protect their kids privacy and allow them to be kids, to exist in a kid’s world and to create and store in their memories those priceless experiences that are childhood.
Willow is not lacking for anything. Willow needs to be a child. She needs to learn her ABC’s and do her math. She needs to play.
Some of us find it strange that a 9 year old is hanging out with adults all day, doing fashion shows in Europe, and totally obsessed with fashion. Yes little girls are fashion conscious – but for most parents it is outside of school hours and after the homework and chores are done.

LOOK..on a previous interview she said she had difficulties with her education not because she struggles but she doesn’t spend much time with tutors/school!!! I wish her the best. But I’m not too sure about this family anymore. I grew up as a fan of Will on the Fresh Prince and I still am a fan of his. Jada tried to fix a face that didn’t need any fixing. She looked great before the surgery. I don’t see a strong sense of religion being passed down to these children which is odd because Will mentions God a lot in his interviews. He’s a clever, smart guy (accepted into MIT) so he can use words that he doesn’t really believe in himself. Not once did Willow say anything about God being involved with her and her success thus far. I don’t believe the rumors about them having an open marriage because no one has proven anything. I’m glad that Trey has been able to live a normal life and will continue to with football. I do feel that this girl needs to be concentrating on learning how to multiply and divide rather than doing whatever Jay-Z has planned for her (who knows what that is with his devil worshipping behind). I hope she doesn’t grow up too fast and has no chance to be a kid like MJ. Look how that turned out….

Willow’s song and video is a hit, but what works is not necessarily what’s right. Kids will grow up imitating their favorite starts and personalities, but with the wrong encouragement they can start to believe in those roles and adapt to an identity that is not of their true purpose and potential. I do think Will & Jada (I’m a fan of them both) have the means and experiences to help them guide Willow in an early music career, but I don’t know that a 10 year-old can really understand the gravity of the choices that must be made to meet the demands of label executives, TV, radio and the other mediums that dictate the ‘who, what, when, where and how’ of being a lucrative and formidable success.
Both of these kids are being sacrificed. I am glad Trey has a different mom.
