Kanye West just released his latest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but also announced that he and mentor Jay-Z would collaborate on a joint album entitled, Watch the Throne.
The new track, “That’s My Bitch,” (produced by Q-Tip) features Elly Jackson, frontwoman of the popular UK electropop duo, LaRoux. The album is still being recorded, but the duo have recorded tracks in Wiltshire, England, and plan to record more soon in Southern France.
Watch the Throne is said to be hitting stores in February of 2011.

Kanye’s creativity is largely nonexistent. He’s growing backwards. The title alone is grounds for me to not listen, due to the degradation attached to that ignorant word, but I gave it a try.
I applaud the different vibe and uniqueness of sound, but as for lyrical content and everything else … disappointing.

I know that is what sells me first. On an individual basis, you can interpret the lyrics as you please/ If you are confident as a woman, who you are and what you are…than it really doesn’t matter what the title of the track is, now does it?
Actually, it would be the opposite. If I am confident in who I am as a woman, then music like this SHOULD bother me. By contrast, it would seem logical that those who DON’T know who they are would blindly follow the inklings of this horrid song.
I am so sad at the statement this song makes.
Kanye and jay z are both punks for putting out a song like this that would seek to further denegrade females who are already discriminated against.
I don’t care how clever you want to be. It’s not their right as men to try and desensitize people to the word’s usage.
I’m disappointed in them both for their lack of understanding about what it means to have great influence and use it wisely.
