Keri Hilson gives us another taste of what’s to come on her upcoming sophomore album, No Boys Allowed with the brand new single, “The Way You Love Me.”
“Pretty Girl Rock” was initially slated as the album’s second single and a video was shot, but the label made a decision to change the single to the new Polow Da Don-produced track. No Boys Allowed is scheduled to hit stores December 21st.

I can’t listen to this song right now because something’s up with the volume on my computer but I believe I heard this song and saw her perform it on a youtube video that was posted on another blog. Is this the song with that hardcore hip-hop/rap beat that came out in the early 00′s that had the lines “Test them othe n**gas cuz I’m down for my n**gas WHAT?” If it is then wtf? The beat is so damn old and doesn’t fit Keri’s voice. Keri is trying to come with this hardcore, edgy, overly sexual image and it’s just sad and pathetic.
So what if Keri is damn near 30. Females like Keri, Ciara, Rihanna, even Beyonce, Britney Spears, and Lady Gaga have nasty, sexually explicit lyrics and it’s very classless and trashy. Keri is such a liar because I checked her solo album credits and I only saw her name once on the songwriting credits and there were a few other people’s name on that single. She’s never fully written a song by herself for her singles or any other artists’. No matter what, she will never reach great success as a singer. That’s the truth, some people get lucky and some people just don’t make it.

That Pretty Girl Rock single was god awful, I understand why they pulled it. I really enjoyed her first album but she sounds like she’s trying too hard on this one.
