Singer Rihanna opened the 38th Annual American Music Awards last night (November 21). The Favorite Soul/R&B Artist winner, performed a medley of her three singles: “What’s My Name?”, “Love the Way You Lie (Part II)” and “Only Girl (In The World)”. I’m not even mad at Beyonce for coming out of retirement after seeing these performances(and I’m not even a Beyonce Stan). Rihanna’s stage performance has gotten better but that definitely wasn’t an opening AMA performance (even Rihanna Stan’s need to admit it). On top of her bad vocals her outfit was even worse and I’m surprised the AMA’s allowed her to be half naked on stage. Rihanna was one of my top fav’s on the Red Carpet I did love the hair and red dress. All the performances were lackluster. Its no reason why this years AMA’s received the lowest ratings.
Rhianna….her performance was so WEAK and uninspiring that she had to “pop her booty” to get any positive attention. HOnestly the whole AMA SUCKED, all the artists sounded HORRIBLE and the show looked CHEAP!! Booo to the AMA’s!!

Rihanna’s performance was good….i think she is improving with her stage presence and performace.I love that she danced too and added a caribbean tone to the music (im biased, I’m from the islands myself haha)… I still do not think Only Girl is a song she should perform….EVER…it is not working out for me.

Yeah So RiRi Killed it! That was one of her BEST Performances… Everything was on point… She is Def improving and I’m proud of her! Its alot of RiRi Haters but my motto is “Hatere make my world go round” and apparently riri’s too!

Black Eyed Peas- they always put on a good show, their music isnt for everyone..but they are good performers.
Usher- usher has been doin his thing for a long time and still kills it, hes talented and hes not going anywhere.
Diddy- RETIRE!!!!!!!!!! you can be buisness man, thats cool you actually GOOD at that, but let your clients have their shine, you dont have to be in every song, even if hes not in the group he has to be talking somewhere in the song or poping up in the video, your wack

Sorry Im just over Christina screaming, but whats so bad about it is that she sings wonderfully but I cant stand that screaming, oh yeah and her “dirty” look she has. But Ususally I am over BEP but old boy at 2:35 was popping like his life depended on it, very HOTTTTT! The performance was nice. Rihanna moved alot more unlike usual and Me Love Rihanna, but we all know that she can be sometimes shaky with her performances. Hmmm Diddy is soo hott and I actually like his song and performance but Im a little over his rapping but darn he just look so scrumptious. Usher and Ne-Yo, Ill sum both of them up, in two words OVER IT
Rihanna’s performance was light years from the terrible-ness that she has showcased recently so I will give props for tht. She hustles – she just won’t fade to black LOL I can give due credit for that as well. I can also appreciate that she didn’t sound out of breath after her performance – gave pretty good energy. No. Not Beyonce good. But Rihanna good. Can’t compare her to B because she is a completely different kind of performer. It’s like comparing Rick James to Michael Jackson (RIP). LOL But popular and talented in their own ways. But polar opposites at the same time.

Unlike some people on here I’m going to speak the truth. First thing first…Rhianna performance was very good!!! Very creative! Her vocals was good! I don’t know why people said she cant sing but she can. Her voice is very unique and it stands out. I find it funny the same people who said ” OMG Rhianna never performs,she always has a boring performance, she needs to dance”. So when she does dance, yall going to criticize her, talking about she was dancing too sexual and you could see all her ass. Please!!! That is some bullshit! Okay yes she did dance sexy, the last time i check the name of the song is “Whats My name” and you could not even see her ass, she had that cover up.Then yall tried to compare her to beyonce & lady gaga…once again please!!! They all are completely different aritists. I dont see yall saying anything about beyonce and lady gaga when they be dancing sexy and their ten times worst. Lady Gaga and Beyonce always show their ass. Beyonce wined are the way to the floor and spread eagle in front of her pops at the last years MTV awards perfroming single ladys. Lady gaga always displaying sexual dancing when she performs. So don’t tried to sit there and make it seem like rihanna is wrong for dancing sexual when basically mostly every artist dances that way. Honestly Rihanna performance wasnt even that sexual! I’m so sick and tired of people comparing Rhianna and Beyonce!!! Please stop they are two completely different artist like it sed before. Rhianna tries to keep u focused on her va jay jay so you will realize she’s not much of a performer or singer. That will work for a couple of more years until Jay find the next light skin super head.

Rihanna did step up on her performing skills for her usual but it wasn’t good enough. The setting and theme was creative though that’s what gonna make the performance unforgettable by her. The performance was over sexed and her vocals were not all on point. I still couldnt believe they let her come out with that on even Beyonce isn’t that sexually. And it was obvious that her dancing was inspired by beyonce and ciara, but at least she tried. The hair did work for her I hope she keeps it like that. I still feel that she’s not all that good and it did make we wonder when beyonce is gonna come back out and I’m not a stan of either one or them. It’s just i recoginze beyonce does have talent as a performer and singer. It’s sad to say she’s the best of our generation of music right now that can sing and perform.

Riyawna’s a used up copycat rag doll. She can’t sing or dance so she fills the stage with a bunch of visuals. Her performance was the normal wack and she’s still never going to be considered any type of great which is why she’s never on the greats lips or any iconic type list.
Didn’t watch since no one I wanted to see would be there but w/o even seening Riri I know she lip-synched with auto-tune and had everyone else doing the work.
Entire show was a farce and not surprised by the low ratings. Not one inch of talent or class was presented.
