Beyonce sits down with ABC’s Nightline to discuss her upcoming DVD film I Am… World Tour, which premiered on Sunday.
The superstar, who produced, directed and edited the film, said of the project:
“I felt like I’ve done so many different things, it’s time for me to show a bit of who I am. The hardest thing was showing that, because a lot of things that I filmed, I filmed in my computer, and I would never have gotten so open if someone else was in the room.”
I Am… World Tour will be available everywhere on November 30, and the Blu-ray edition will be released December 7 in selected countries.

I’m not a Bey fan, I like a few of her songs but overall I don’t get the hype. This video must truly be for the fans because I find it hard to have sympathy for a woman who’s on camera boo-hooing about performing 9 days in a row when tour schedules are planned in advance and she as the boss approves the dates. I concur. I was once a HUGE Beyonce fan but I grew up and my taste in music drastically evolved. Its sort of like having the wool removed from your eyes. I give credit where credit is due. She is a wonderful performer, she can actually sing, and she seems to have incredible work ethic. She has a lot more going for her than the rest of these mainstream R&B acts. I prefer Solange’s music anyday now over B’s. There is something very contrived about Beyonce and this supposedly being a chance to take a peak at the “real” her, I am not buying the act. I am not a believer that reality shows are real but I would go further and say that her doing a reality show would be realer than this. I am sure she filmed all of this footage on her laptop after she had already inked this deal. I know there are people who are constantly recording their lives just because. But I have a sneaky suspicion Beyonce is not one of them. At the end of the day though, I hope she really finds out who she is.

I just adore her. She certainly seems more comfortable in front of the camera.
So the woman has an accent….isn’t she from Houston? Don’t most people from Houston have accents? Accent = Simple? I know a lot of people that are articulate and simple as hell. She may not be a college grad or well-read but she is a success story.
Her hard work has certainly paid off and is a lesson to most whether you like her music a not. The woman runs her career, she has matured into her position and requires no less but the best for those that pay her bills; the fans. It baffles me that people can’t separate their personal ill feelings from the facts placed before them by her franchise stats alone. You don’t have to be a fan of noted artists (Bob Marley, Cher, Madonna, Mary J, U2 and others) to recognize their impact (social/political and/or sensationalism and/or etc.)…the girl has longevity in the business, people will still try and see her when she’s 50. She has stamped it out. Like it or hate it. lol YOU may not be there, but I doubt anyone would notice.
Success requires responsibility, hard work, and sacrifice…most can’t step up to the challenge.
She’s made her mark and I’m proud of her.
Oh…and by the way, I’m not even a fan of her music. I still recognize game and she running hers.
