AWARENESS: WORLD AIDS DAY 2010

World AIDS Day is recognized each year on December 1 to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education regarding a leading killer of black men and women. Many of those who are infected with the disease are unaware of their HIV status and may unknowingly transmit the virus to others. This is why it’s critical for us all to get educated, get tested, get treated and get involved!

Stopping AIDS is like learning your ABCs: Abstain from sex, Be faithful to a single partner and use a Condom each and every time you have sex.

I agree totally with with HOLLYWOOD!!. It must be everyday World AIDS day. Because many people do not understand ABC. Because most people think that sex is nice or to belong to a group, but they unfortunately do not know the consequences of AIDS. And that is sad to see young people that thought having sex was nice to do. But I am glad that World Aids day is thinking about the people how unfortunately got infected and to warn people to use protection.

why don’t they tell the truth about AIDS? African and Indian Destruction Serum. That sounds about right. You really want people to believe that this venerial disease came from a monkey and then magically hopped the ocean and skipped a continent in order to become a worldwide epidemic that targets predominately black populations in Latin America, North America and Africa?

Bushmeat is not something that Africans just started eating in the 80′s, so why suddenly does AIDS become a major problem around this time? And once colonial powers begin to (or already have) withdrawn their military forces from African countries that now seek independence, forces that were used to keep black populations in line??

Nobody ever talks about the high AIDS rate in Brazil either, maybe because they believe that Brazil is still a “white” country when it sure as hell ain’t. It’s about 90% black (black by American standards but there are more nuances on the Brazilian census).

It’s not just sex, drug use (contaminated needles) can be a cause as well.
