I am GLAD that someone stated the obvious. Sorry to break it to everyone but Kandi CANNOT sing. Everytime I hear her bust a note, I cringe. Don’t get me wrong she can hold a note, but even then it doesn’t sound that great. Despite that I do like “I Just Know”. I don’t think she has what it takes to be a succesful SOLO singer. Sorry Kandi, you’re still my fav. on RHOA
That intro was SO cheesy and weird. nice vocals tho…I love ‘Leave U’ and alot of other songs it is a beautiful album. I think the flow of the album is weird tho…I think stylisticly as a package the album is strange. I also think some songs were album fillers and could have been left out though….

There were some good songs on here, like fly above and I want you (I think that’s the best track to be honestly, a lot because of the beat), but I don’t know what Kandi’s audience is. Plus her voice isn’t my absolute fav (not saying she can’t sing, but it’s just not my first choice, or cup of tea).

I haven’t listened to it yet, but based on what I have heard on Real Housewives I don’t know if I could take a whole album of her voice. It’s not that she can’t sing, but like others said above, her voice is just different and not a favorite of mine. I preferred her singing with Xscape. Good luck to you though Kandi!

Kandi’s album is a contemporary RnB album….I love “How could u …feel my pain” “Leave U” “Fly Above” and “Superwoman” I think Kandi is stronger in production and writing. Hell, anyone that can make KIM sound like she can sing…is a PRODUCER OF THE YEAR!

Kandi is super sweet and has a great personality. Her song writing is always surperb. Her alblum is soooooo special to me, bc in the past most of her songs were pro-women, kinda male bashing songs. She is definatly a GROWN ASS WOMEN now and her new music reflects that. I can her the emotions in all her tracks. Kudos for stepping out of the usual mess we hear and giving us something w/substnace. I love you girl.

Spike Lee should be mad at the south and a lot of black people because they put light skinned people on a pedestal the most. Kandi will NEVER blow up as a solo artist. She needs to get a hair stylist, a make up artist and a clothes stylist. Her image is too ghetto and her style is horrendous which makes her overall wack. Nothing about her is ladylike or graceful and she could use some refinement to help with her image. She comes off hard where she should be soft. I believe if she upgraded her image it would bring her enough attention to actually sell her music. Her ex-bandmate Latocha is dropping around February too.

The tracks are alright nothing to give a BMI/ASCAP producer of the year award to but the sentiments and lyrics are so redundant and childish Its not for me anymore. I love the album. I can’t stop listening to Superwoman, I want you and Leave U. The whole album is better than a lot of the albums that have been coming out lately. It’s not dated as some idiots have been saying what you’re hearing is the shift in what is called music. The shift from good R&B to “what the hell is this?!” music. I would love there to be a remix of the Superwoman song which I dedicate to my mother! Kandi’s voice is no whinnier than Rihanna, J.Lo and Ciara. Stop hating! No she is not a sanger but she can sing.

Anyhow she wrote “Lucky” and “Haven’t Loved Right” for Fantasia but neither song made Tasia’s album. For some reason I can hear Fantasia killin “Haven’t Loved Right” but Kandi did a decent job.
I like “Superwoman” and of course “Fly Above” and a few of the others. I think she sounds better singing more hip hop/soul or more contemporary songs rather than slow ballads.
