Guess who was spotted leaving Barney’s New York in Beverly Hills recently. Hint: He was a prominent actor during the ’90s.
It’s Cuba Gooding Jr. The actor starred in a number of hits, including his Academy Award-winning role in Jerry Maguire, and was noted for his portrayal of Dr. Ben Carson in Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story. However, most of his films recently have been direct-to-DVD.
He has a number of films set for release next year: Sacrifice, The Hit List and the George Lucas-produced Red Tails about the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African-American pilots to fly in a combat squadron during World War II.

You honestly don’t have respect for him. Sure his career endeavors may have overshadowed his success and talent as an African American actor in Hollywood. He went from Boyz N to the Hood to an Oscar per-say. Yes, his career should be where Denzel and even Will are at, but sadly with bad business deals behind the scenes can really take a toll and make a mockery of this man’s prestigious resume. Why would one say such a thing? Sadly, you are not the only one including him being the jokes of many jokes….at the end of the day, he is still working …how many other black actors can say that and have crossovered into even starring in leading roles and garnering their own films…There are many black actors who would love to have his career…take almost every actor in THE WOOD or even BROTHERS..omitting Omar Epps…are they where Omar is?? No, they pop up every now in then and are still only on the BLACK A list…this isn’t bad, but if anyone recalls when Nia Long, and other actress stated that they still have to audition and don’t get paid highly as someone even like Beyonce…these black actors are vets…but do you think Will, Denzel, Halle, Johnny Depp, Brad, ect are auditioning?? RADIO…this guy is an character actor…he plays parts that are apart from his own personality and makes the part come to life with such belief. Has been? get out of here. Actors do not act for the check, they act for the love of the art, most of them are fine with being poor artist, they just have great financial reward for making it big…and let’s not forget, we don’t know if he’s on stage or behind the scene…

His movie Red tails sound like it might be pretty good. Now that I think about it, the last movie I seen him in was American Gangster.

Well, what can I say about Cuba…fine actor…great range and depth…leading man…SELL OUT TO HIS PEOPLE! CUBA DOESN’T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT TEH AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY point blank! With all his “Star Power” he’s never took a stand on any of the socio-political issues that affect us.
