AWARENESS VIDEO: SUDANESE WOMAN BEATEN IN PUBLIC FOR WEARING PANTS (**GRAPHIC**)

This video of a Sudanese woman being flogged in public has been making its rounds around the web. The young woman was whipped by police in the city of Khartoum. Apparently, she wasbeing punished with 100 flogs for wearing pants underneath her Islamic clothing:

The film shows the police carry out the punishment of flogging with a whip on the Sudanese girl in front of a crowd of people. The Girl received blows whip all over her body from the legs, back, arms and head wildly and violently. The girl was crying and lying on the ground squirming in pain, begging the policeman to stop hitting her, before another officer assisted him and participated in the beating. [Source]

This very public punishment has sparked protests among Sudanese women against the laws of their state and country, which they say have continued to humiliate them. However, the governor of Khartoum, Governor Abder Rahman al-Khidir claims that the woman was being punished under sharia, Islamic law and that there had been a mistake in the way the victim’s punishment had been carried out. RANDOM PICS: OPRAH & JAY-Z TAPE SHOW IN AUSTRALIA

Oprah Winfrey and six thousand fans descend on the Sydney Opera House to tape two different episodes of “The Oprah Winfrey Show: Ultimate Australian Adventure”. 302 audience members traveled from the US to take part in the episode tapings.

Pictured above Jay-Z is seen on stage with Ms. Winfrey giving an exclusive interview.

The episodes will wrap up Winfrey’s 25th and final season on air and are expected to be broadcast in 145 countries in early 2011.

ALBUM REVIEW: DIRTY MONEY – LAST TRAIN TO PARIS

After much talk and several delays, Dirty Money delivers the futuristic love story on their much anticipated album, Last Train To Paris, which is in stores now.

LISTEN UP:

Last Train To Paris is probably rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ first foray into the world of conceptual albums. With it being three years in the making, Combs describes the album as a vivid love story, following his character on a journey from London to Paris. Along with former Danity Kane star, Dawn Richard and singer/songwriter, Kalenna Harper (who’s characters are named Neon and Flux), Diddy finds the woman of his dreams, loses her, finds her again, only to lose her once more, and then reunite with her a final time. Some may have argued that such a task may have been a little ambitious for Combs, but Last Train To Paris flows almost seamlessly to tell the story.
