Talkshow host, Oprah Winfrey recently sat down with Barbara Walters for an interview, which is set to air before Walter’s annual ABC special, 10 Most Fascinating People. In the one-on-one interview, Barbara and Oprah touch on her upcoming departure from daytime television to her preparations for OWN, Winfrey’s new television network. The ladies eventually talked about Oprah’s extremely close relationship with Gayle King and shared her thoughts on the rumors about her sexuality:

She’s the mother I never had. The sister everybody would want. The friend everybody deserves. I don’t know a better person. It’s making me cry because I’m thinking how much I probably never told her that. We’re not like, ‘Oh, you, you’re my dearest friend . . . thanks.’ The therapy I didn’t have and don’t need is because of my thousands and thousands of hours on the phone with Gayle. I get to release the day by talking it through. And I just realized she’s the friend everybody should have. I have said we are not gay enough times. I am not lesbian. Not even kind of lesbian. That irritates me because it means somebody must think I’m lying. That’s No. 1. No. 2, why would you want to hide it? That is not the way I run my life. [Source]

When asked about her love life, Oprah commented on her far from over relationship with her man, her boo, her knight in shining armor, Stedman:

Barbara:
I have to tell you that most everybody thinks that it’s over with you and Stedman. I didn’t know that it was still on. I thought it was just a sort of nice friend that you see now and then. Is he still the man in your life? The love of your life?

Oprah:
Yes, he is. And the love of my life. The love, the lover, the man, the partner, the mate. I cannot say that I know of another man, really. I do not know of another man on this planet who could’ve lived this life with such dignity, such grace and humility. And still hold his own. [ SOURCE: TMZ ]
