Jamie Foxx returns with his fourth album Best Night of My Life, which includes the latest single, “Fall for Your Type” featuring Drake, and a host of other collaborations including T.I. and Justin Timberlake on “Winner”, which we first mentioned last year, Ludacris and Soulja Boy on “Yep Dat’s Me”, which will be released as the album’s next single on Friday. Best Night of My Life hits stores December 21.

very digital like
what ever shut up
So far the only song I like is the intro. I think if he keeps making albums like this he will fade into obscurity again. Unlike a lot of the male R&B singers today Jamie can actually sing and sounds like a man. He doesn’t whine when he sings and his voice has soul. However you wouldn’t know from all the albums he’s been putting out. Songs like I wish you were Here, Can I take You Home, Do What It Do, Dj Play A Love SOng, Heaven, Freak’in Me, Slow & Love Brings Change he shows promise to merge the old, that he was birthed in, and the new. Some of his more popular works like Blame It etc… are songs anybody with a vocalcorder could make. Jamie I feel really dumbs down his talent to allow the kiddies to like him. Jamie you are grown. Sing like it!
Well said Jevon. I’ve been feeling this way about Jamie’s more recent musical efforts. I remember interviews where he mentioned others telling him that he needed to go this route to have hits and music that would be played in the clubs. He is very successful but I sure miss his “real” voice and passion shining through.
I agree with you – Jamie has a gift, can’t understand why he is hiding it. Club music has a limit — break the mold Jamie…we are waiting!
You took the words right out of my mouth!! Well said and Bravo to you
Maybe it will grow on me bcz im not instantly blown away…But J is talented.
I am a grown woman who does not enjoy kids music at all!!However, I have enjoyed both of Jamie’s album…they are very grown…he has to try and touch a lot of different demographics..but I enjoy his albums..he has a lot of grown folks song on them..and i’m sure this will be good also!
well if you u dont like some of his music you shouldn’t listen because you not the one making the money so you need too stop HATEING.
SUPERWOMAN needs to learn how to READ & SPELL! If you could read you would know that “TOOSEXY” said she LIKES Jamies music… And the word is offically spelled “HATING”… smh! get it together chick
I stopped listening after the first two songs…
you shouldn’t listen alot. yall ppl is so slow. get a life.
@ Superwoman you should try using spell check
I agree with Jevon 100%!
I’m so disappointed. Jamie is selling his talent out for this auto-tune digital club crap. I wish he would go back to his roots from the first and second albums. Oh, and Superwoman, you need to get “Hooked on Phonics” before you tell anyone what they need to do!
i wish Jamie would go back to his 2nd album this digital club music is not where it’s at unlike most male R$&B artist, i can always expect a grown and sexy album from Jamie, but this isn’t doing it.
Why does all of these songs sounds very auto-tuned? I agree with everyone else—Jamie Foxx has a nice, mature voice without going overboard, so why doesn’t he make an album for the mature audience that he has.

What I dont understand is
how Drake can write “Fall For Your Type” for Foxx
then turn around and record the same song himself
i mean ..
what was the point in that?
Why does he try to force a hairline?
This latest CD doesn’t appear as good as his last one. There are a few I liked right away but some of the others will have to be heard again. I am not sure this one will be as well received by those who know he can sing. I agree that he is trying a bit hard to reach a particular group of listners. I wish there were more solid ballads.
I miss the old Jamie Foxx, i just want to hear him sing, no bs..all these features. I just want some good ol’ R&B because Jamie’s vocals are off the chain but he’s trying way to hard to stay young and relevant. He does have a strong fan base and I will continue to support him. I hope his 5th album goes back to his roots. This one is not bad tho, just too much hip hop.
