Jennifer Hudson performed a rendition of “I’m Here”, one of the songs from Oprah’s broadway play/movie, The Color Purple in tribute to Oprah Winfrey at the 33rd Annual Kennedy Center Honors ceremony. Although the award show was recorded earlier this month, it finally aired earlier this week. Check out Hudson as she sings “I’m Here” with the Tennessee State University Choir.

Jennifer sounded just ok she look on t.v. good I haven’t seen her in person so I would know because the t.v. make you look 10 to 20 pounds heavy so I don’t know her weight loss is good or bad but it happen fast. I remember Oprah did the same thing. I here, Fantasia own this song yes it is not her song but she bring life to the song. Fantasia sing it beautifully and with passion. I know that Jennifer and Fantasia are friends at least I hope and that they most likely talk about her singing the song. Fantasia is not selfish and most all not jealous. Because she sing other people song all the time. So I just hope that Fantasia will star in the movie color purple musical. Time will tell how things will be.
I tell ya, black people always having something to say about each other. She didn’t sang it like so and so or she have lost to much weight. Doesn’t matter whom she didn’t sound like, Jennifer can sing, okkkkkkkkkkkkk. Losing to much weight is looking like Tori Spelling or Nicole Richie’s old look. Jennifer looks absolutely stunning and healthy. Every black woman walking doesn’t want to look like Willina the whale. In this day and time you’re lucky if you can find 10% of black women under 160pds. Tired of seeing thick, fat or obese black females. Bellies hanging, breasts sagging, booties all over the place. It isn’t healthy!!!!!! what Jennifer looks like is healthy!!!!! Get a clue u jealous rotrag wenches.
JHud did a great job and I’m verry happy for her. Both she and Fantasia are great friends and I’m sure they talked before she did this performance. I dont believe the bull about Fantasia not being able to sing due to her personal issues, if thats the case why was Willie Nelson there? I beleive it’s a favoritism party Obamas and Chicago…blah, blah, blah. As long as Beyonce was not there I’m good.

I don’t know what the hell is wrong with just about everyone else’s ears who commented on here, but I just youtubed Fantasia’s Tony performance of this song and hers was boring and pathetic. Jennifer’s’ voice is so soulful, robust, emotional, and passionate. Fantasia was just singing louder and higher. I guess Fantasia can sing but she sounds like Donald Duck! OMG her tone if awful. Fantasia has one of the most abrasive singing voices ever! Jennifer wins hands down. She commanded that song!
And as for Jennifer’s weight, I am sick and tired of fat, sloppy black women praising their “curves” and putting down skinny women. I’m “skinny” myself and am perfectly healthy and a good size. I’m sick and tired of people commenting on my weight or judging me because I’m “thin.” Okay, I don’t care what anyone says, no one wants to be fat. Stop making excuses for yourselves just because you’re too lazy to lose weight. Whoever said that their doctor told them that there are more sickly skinny people in the world than fat is a damn liar or has a idiotic doctor! There are over 180 million fat and obese people in the US alone. Can you believe that? If not, research it. That’s insane and just sad. We are all different sizes but trust, no one should be overweight. Jennifer looks just fine. The max that a person should be is Beyonce and Kim K’s size.
Fantasia boring? You can’t be serious. Boring is watching Jennifer sing, act, speak; you just want to hit the off button. Fantasia is captivating and like others have said, you feel every word that she speaks in a song. With Jennifer you get nothing! She can sing, no doubt. But to watch her in any setting is boring. As far as her weight, I believe Weight Watchers is helping her to maintain her new frame, but I also believe that she got the Lapband shortly after her son was born. She just refuses to fess up because she’s getting paid by WW. This is a girl who’s been fat all of her life and said on American Idol that she’s always struggled with her weight. She must think we’re stupid.
After seeing this I have to go see Fantasia’s version because Jennifer didnt do it for me… Love Jenny but this is Fanny’s song
When Fantasia sings she puts it all out there baby. She makes you feel every word of the song, and will have you crying like a baby. Jennifer was boring.
