ARTIST TO WATCH: LARON

January 25th, 2011

♫ LaRon – Take It There

Meet LaRon. The 23 year old biracial native of Minnesota brings you his first single, “Take It There,” produced by State of Emergency, who have produced hits for artists like Chris Brown, Ludacris, Usher, Aaliyah, Miguel, Danity Kane and many more.

The track comes from LaRon’s debut LP, Like A Rose, which is available on iTunes now. The 10 track LP is a true story and testament to LaRon’s past and present experiences. LaRon dives deep into his emotions and delivers passion, pain, heartache and most importantly his experiences in life as a young heartthrob.

With musical inspirations ranging from Rick James to MGMT, from Passion Pit to Cold Play, and the sound fusions of electro, pop and dubstep, it’s no wonder that industry insiders have said that LaRon’s Like A Rose is a perfect marriage of urban and alternative.

    WTF?

i hope he don’t make it. Lil disrespectful self. I met him on twitter and he was very rude and self centered. And not very open to having a Gay audience or fan-base. Which he would want to do. Seeing how most artists with a huge gay=following have the biggest careers….

Feeling Like R&B music is changing for the better. more honesty in music is starting to emerge. I like the DUB-step at the end of this record. and from what i hear, the album sounds solid.

MAN THIS DUDE IS A COCKY AS* AND A DEAD BEAT DAD! HE HAS A SON THAT HE DOESNT EVEN SEE AND TAKE CARE OF. HE THINKS HES ALREADY SOMEONE BIG AND HE AINT SH*T! THE MOTHER OF HIS SON IS A STUGGLING PARENT HER SELF AND DOESNT GET *ANY* HELP FROM HIM. #DEADBEATDAD SORRY FOR THE NEGATIVE COMMENT BUT I DISLIKE PEOPLE THAT PUT ON A FRONT, AND THIS GUY RIGHT HERE IS NOTHING BUT A BIG FRONT! TAKE CARE OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES FIRST THEN YOUR CAREER. I WISH HIM WELL WITH HIS MUSIC BUT KARMA IS NOTHING YOU CAN HIDE FROM. AND I DISCREDIT CL FOR POSTING PEOPLE LIKE HIM ON THEIR SO CALLED WELL RESPECTED WEB PAGE! THANK U FOR LETTING ME COMMENT.

Lori if that is indeed your name? cause WE dont know who you are… Im sorry for whoever gave you any information on what kind of father LaRon is. But you are far from right! I am the mother of his son, and WE are FAR from struggling. Its none of your business on what the relationship is between us or our son. Its one thing to comment on his music whether you like it or not, but please keep your negativity about our family to yourself.

Uhhh Lori….you said “take care of your responsibilities first and THEN your career”…uhh, did you take what you wrote to the writing lab? Did you read over it? Cos you dont make sense; how is he supposed to take care of his responsibilities BEFORE he has a career?

YO THIS SONG IS CORNY LIKE WHOA! I ALMOST FELL ASLEEP AND I LOVE ALTERNATIVE INNOVATIVE MUSIC-THIS AIN’T THAT. HIPSTER SYLING AND SKINNY JEANS DOESN’T IMPROVE THE MUSIC ON A LISTEN TO IT. SMAOKE AND MIRRORS SMOKE AND MIRRORS SMOKE AND MIRRORS. I’LL JUST LISTEN TO THE MUSICIANS THAT INFLUENCED HIM NEXT TIME, BOOORING. JUST SAYING…NOT HATING. SEPERATE FROM THE ASTHETIC THE MUSIC WAS DEFENITELY BRUNO MARS 2 BUT TALLER.NEXT.

and i think the point of the artist putting “biracial” in his own bio was so that we would hear imaginary soul influences in the music just based off our preconceived notions of what music sounds like from someone with some black in them. can anybody else see the mariah carey cosignment situation going on hee. at least she had the tina marie white chocolate vocals things going on to warrent bringing up the biraccial with black in the mix thing.

    • GET it RIGHT

PLEASE TELL ME DOWN BROWN…where does it say he “has a little black in him?” It says he is biracial. That is a pretty broad term…biracial does not necessarily mean black/white…Geeezzzzz. I’m sure you still don’t get it!

If you arent hating, what aesthetic (this is how you spell the word) is this? was your “bruno Mars 2″ comment a failed attempt to actually say you liked it? Cause the Aesthetic here is the fact that this guy hit a nerve with you somehow enough for you to leave 2 comments. LOOK it’s obvious you really wanted to get your point across for every other reason than just listening to the music, cause we all know you really listened to the music.

    Well damn!

Y’all sure woke up like some crabs in a bucket. Hate is evident. Wether u like his music or not, he is obviously doing something right. Nigga’s always hate on anything that doesnt conform. probably doing something you could never understand. The world is much bigger than just black and white, and I’m sure your own ignorance hasn’t even allowed most of you to see the world. That’s sad. Who gave you the handbook of what “cool” is.?Music is always changing and those who remain the same will be waiting to die off for the future generation to take over. Listen to the dudes music. Stop criticizing like some coons who don’t know what else to do with themselves but hate on the next nigga, or “light skinned” bi-racial person who probably made u made cause he stole your girl…

The music industry is way to critical. Instead of wasting negative, hateful opinions. Give La’ron positive, creative, helpful feedback. This is whats wrong with the world!!!
He is a young talented man, that is using what God gave him to share with the world. Pat him on the back for not being in jail, selling drugs, in a gang etc. And then ask yourself what have you done lately…?

Its so funny how people sit back and make these comments and judgements. All you haters think about this right quick. “You woke up, got on concrete loop, hated the fact that you dont have shit going on with your life so what do you do, you hate on something thats visibly dope.” Get it together. By the end of this year I swear all the nay sayers will be co-signing. Simple. Keep Grinding Fam!!!
