Actor Boris Kodjoe and actress Nicole Ari Parker seductively pose for the cover of EBONY magazine’s upcoming February issue, Hot Couples 2011: Power, Purpose & Passion. The hot and sexy couple will be one of the three African-American married couples featured on the magazine’s “Black Love” covers. The other lovely duos are President Barack and first lady, Michelle Obama as well as singer Beyonce and mogul Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter.

According to reports, to take on Black Love in a more meaningful way, editor-in-chief Amy DuBois Barnett commissioned a definitive survey on the issue that anchors the launch of the EBONY Partner Project, a yearlong look at how Black men and women are relating and how they can improve their relationships. The survey garnered some surprising new findings, including:
· 62% of AA men and women believe there is a one and only soul mate for
them,
· 26% of married African American (AA) women have cheated on their
current partner vs. 9% of married AA men,
· 40% of AA women have used pornography vs. 29% of AA men, and, in the true spirit of Valentine’s Day.

Ebony is such a disappointment. There are incredible issues facing black America that the magazine should highlight, yet it falls again for celebrity focus. While black love and black marriage IS an important issue for us to examine, it needs to be done outside of celebrity context, the issue at hand is the 70% of black children raised out of wedlock, the plummeting marriage rates for black women etc. The marriages of Boris Kodjoe and Beyonce are not what is important.

Black love-especially black marriage IS important. Its the most important. If black families stayed together as a unit man and wife like its supposed to be alot of our community problems wouldnt be what they are. These celebrities just sale the magazines but what they represent is what needs to be shown. Married people who love and respect one another, that build each other up and support each other. They are just examples. Good examples.

Great cover, but I would say Boris stole this cover from his wife cause the first thing I saw was his fine ass….the camera loves him. Not taking anything away from Nicole because she is beautiful as well, but Boris stole this cover for me. I guess he is a former model so he knows how to work it.
