Jennifer Hudson finally releases her brand new single, “Where You At,” co-produced and written by R. Kelly and Harvey Mason, Jr. The track is the first single from her much awaited sophomore album, I Remember Me.
Hudson went through a lot after the release of her self-titled debut in 2008, and says titling the album I Remember Me is a testament to going through trials and still having a sense of self throughout it all. The new album will hit stores March 22nd via Arista Records.

F I N A L L Y, something worth listening to in 2011. I really hope REAL R&B makes a comeback this year. All the pop music was fun these past few years but now its time to get back to some real music and sangin’. Good look Jennifer, keep pumping out good music.

Why do we have to only be limited to the underground!! To me that is not even fair!! It seems that the music is dead, because everybody is going the same type of sound, there isn’t any creative magic anymore, and I feel that this generation has missed the train when it some to talent!
In the 70′s there was a hot sound, and all the popular artist were part of that sound. Same with the 80′s, and the same with the 90′s. The difference nowadays, is that there is sooooo much assess to so many different artists and sounds. You don’t have to listen to the radio. So if what is popular isn’t for you, you’re not limited to it.

I liked the song because I liked how strong and soulful her voice is and I like the storyline in the lyrics. Only one problem for me: the song is about being abandoned and left hanging when you were counting on someone right?
She sounds so strong and powerful in it that I can’t feel the pain that the lyrics hint at. Don’t get me wrong, she sounded great but the emotion in her voice and the emotion in the lyrics didn’t match all the way. That’s just me tho.
