NEWS: UNARMED 25-YEAR-OLD REGGIE DOUCET SHOT & KILLED BY THE LAPD

Twenty-five year old Reginald Doucet Jr. was shot and killed in front of his home by the Los Angeles Police Department early Friday morning, after refusing to pay his cab fare.

According to reports, residents of Playa Vista heard a man yelling and saw him running around outside completely naked. When police arrived, he was wearing only boxer shorts and arguing with the cab driver who had driven him from a bar in Hollywood. The driver said Doucet did not want to pay his fare, then took his clothes off and started jumping on parked cars.

Police say they struggled with Doucet, and one of the officers drew his weapon and fired, killing him. The officers involved were reportedly taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, including a sore jaw.

Doucet was a former quarterback at Middle Tennessee State University and a personal trainer. He had also done some modeling and was featured in Essence’s Eye Candy section.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family.

U SENT IT IN: USHER BOO’D IN GERMANY; CLAIMS SICKNESS + ONE FAN’S ACCOUNT OF THE CONCERT

Looks like Usher is in hot water with his fans in Germany. The singer delayed the Berlin stop of his OMG! tour on Thursday after a showcasing some odd behavior while on stage.

A couple of Concrete Loop readers from Germany sent in their account of what happened at the concert, as well as video. Read one summary below:

Hey Concreteloop! Im from Germany and Im pretty sure that almost no one of you heard about the BIIIIIIIIIIG Usher scandal in Germany. Yesterday (January 12) Usher had his first show of his OMG Tour in Germany/Berlin. Fans waited more than 40 minutes until the management canceled the show because Usher “wasn’t feeling well” and they postponed it to today (January 13).

His fans had to wait about 40 more minutes today until he came on stage. There were five songs (sung only playback not live), interrupted by several 5-minute breaks during which Usher left the stage without further announcements and a “DJ” took over for a few minutes.

Then the fiasco took its course: as Usher sang a song which he sang “wrong and crooked”, he interrupted the song and gave an excuse for the cancellation of the previous day. While trying to sing everybody booed at him.
After he had sung for like another 10 seconds, he went off the stage. The lights went on and the concert was over.
