Since the date of their marriage, nearly three years ago, everyone has just about had conversations and debates about the love life of Beyonce and Jay-Z. Are they truly in love? Is it just a business deal? Is Beyonce really going to get paid for every child she has with him? The media and fans alike have all been trying to catch the couple sharing intimate moments in hopes to finally prove that their so-called marriage is indeed one of love. 
Well former assistant, writer and Chicago-native, Jessica Lashawn recently wrote on the topic of soulmates on her blog, Such Is Life and shared her personal experience of the dynamic duo back in 2003, way before the wedding bells started ringing. Check out the detailed story of the moment Beyonce’s former assistant knew they were indeed in love:
During the BET Awards in 2003 I witnessed the makings of a real relationship between two overly focused individuals willing to sacrifice and make time for each other in the midst of accomplishing their personalized greatness. I was the personal assistant to Beyonce while she prepared for the debut of her new single Deja Vu. I can recall having the song on repeat throughout the duration of my flight from Chicago to LA and feeling captivated by the 808′s and horns. There was something about the song that made me feel as if I were being transported to another place all in the name of love. Like most people, I soon realized that the passion hidden behind Beyonce’s vocals was fueled by her devotion and love for none other than Jay Z.
I sat there in amazement as I watched Beyonce go over every step as if her life depended on it. I’d heard all the stories and rumors that she was evil and possibly the daughter of Satan but none of that surfaced. A prime example of her down-to-earth-ness was displayed when she happened to be thirsty and it was my job to get her some water but she chose to go with me in order to ease her mind. She was sweet and reminded me of that home girl we all have that no matter what she just wants to laugh at the end of the day.
Everything was going well until Beyonce was informed that Jay Z missed his flight and wouldn’t be able to make it to the show and perform. Her face went sour as she took a moment to squat on the floor and pout. She wasn’t sad about him not doing his verse but the fact that she wouldn’t see him as soon as she’d planned. She couldn’t help but mumble to her mother that she missed him. She forced herself not to cry. Stood up and yelled from the top of her lungs…. “let’s take it from the top.” The passion and determination in her voice echoed throughout the empty theater as she stood on top of a short ladder that served as her entrance wagon.
Then a voice rang out saying “Hey You.”
Beyonce’s face lit up as she buckled her knees and covered her face to hide a child like smile followed by adorable cheeks red and wet with embarrassing tears. It was HIM. He walked in calm and cool but as he got closer he couldn’t help but smile and reach out to her and hold her while placing his head gently on top of hers and shaking it. He said hi to her mom and mentioned that he wanted to fake her (Beyonce) out and say he wasn’t coming just to surprise her and it worked. The two clicked instantly and started rehearsing but not before a hint of comfort was relaxed on their faces as they found solace within each others arms. After Beyonce let go and slowly removed her head from the chest of the man that inspired the lyrics to the song- she ran to her place- ready to start it all over again.
Every beat flowed effortlessly like water between the two. They stopped to acknowledge that this was their first time performing the song and even arranging choreography. The chemistry was amazing and I felt honored to have a front row seat for it all. [SOURCE]

It was indeed a cute article. I don’t know if everything is accurate considering Deja Vu didn’t debut in 2003….hmmmm…but overall I love having little sneak peeks into their love life.

Where she messed up in this story is saying that Bey wrote DeJaVu for Jay Z. Everybody knows that Bey doesn’t actually write her own songs. She may tweak a line and add her name to the credits.

It was a cute story and yeah, it was a little “extra”, & overly romance novel type mushy(and makes her look like a hopeless romantic who “stans” out, but maybe she is, as “everyday people” get hired to work for “celebs” all time and they may have even been a fan before hand),but a “good” writer knows how to & often does sensationalize everyday happenings. I’m sure Terry McMillian took artistic license with “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” and “Waiting to Exhale” etc.
And that “2003-Deja Vu” mix up may just simply be a typo, where the 3 was supposed to be a 6. I’ve typed wrong dates and misspelled words on school research papers all the time…simply because I had been up all night researching and was a little tired when I typed it up and hit the submit button. Have you guys read Jay-z’s book “Decoded” written by journalist dream hampton? There’s a mess of typos in that book that went undetected by print time. I questioned her about a few that I came across (example: the wrong “Beastie Boys” member was name checked as having cancer) and she said “Sorry” and went onto explain that she’s “queen of typos” & she’s been writing forever & worked at The Source, Vibe, Village Voice” etc, so ish like that does happen.
All that said, I don’t know if it’s true or not. Maybe. Maybe not. I’ve never known anybody, but her cousin to be a personal assistant for her (although she could have more than one).
I mean, Beyonce doesn’t & doesn’t have to hold press conferences each time she switches up someone on her team. Maybe this girl was a back up assistant for a short time, while the cousin was sick or focused on other things. I’m sure her family members who work for her do have lives outside of Beyonce, the woman…AND the BRAND, so maybe the cuz took a break and this girl stepped in.
I went to her website and there are pictures of her with a few different music artists (not named Beyonce or Jay-z)at a few different events so maybe she did assistant work & writes about her experiences for newspapers and such. I don’t know, but it is what is…a cute article & if it’s true (sensationalism aside lol), then more power to “Jayonce” and their love!

Im sure their relationship is like described here, I always knew BeyoncĂ©’s songs were about them, she mentionned many times anyway, and after watching the I Am World Tour, or just when they perform on the same stage, I know that they are truly in love and they will last forever, they are soulmates, so cute! The love is sincere. They made 7 years together and soon 3 years of marriage. I love them!

Right! Haven’t they been together since B was fresh off the high school school bus lol? Of course they don’t slob each other down in front of the cameras all time like Will & Jada but they seem to love, respect, and care for one another. Beyonce seems to light up at the mention of Jay in interviews & I think we can all agree she can’t act her way out of a paper so I think it’s something real there & Jay’s a Sag, guarded, private, and likes to play the “too cool for school” role in public but I’d bet money on him being a sap behind closed doors. But there are always some people out there who won’t believe this type of story but if this was a story about him doing her wrong and mistreating her, they’d be cosigning and swearing on the bible! I think they’re just wise in not doing a bunch of public display of affection or letting people in their BI type stuff. I did see a pic on tumblr a few weeks ago with the two of them probably taken by the pap with Jay on a beach chair, Bey sitting on top of him and leaning in to kiss him. I though it was a sweet pic but also felt like an invasion of their privacy since they’re not known for that but it was sweet.
Frankly I’m sick of hearing about how in love these two are and all this crap from people claiming to be ‘proud of their love’ ‘black king and queen couple’ nonsense. If they genuinely love each other then fine, good for them but we don’t need to hear about it! They’re two grown individuals, whats our business with their relationship? Plus, this was just one incident that happened over 7 years ago. Was she there when they had fights, because every relationship has fights. If they’re in love, they’re in love but what bothers me is that so many people are so obsessed with knowing about their relationship. They act like they are actual KING and QUEEN and it’s just pathetic. Who cares if they love each other or not? Get a grip!
