Mary Harvey, the second former wife of New York Times’ Best Seller author, Steve Harvey, has dished out a series of videos, 
as a means of finding closure to her divorce from the Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man author/comedian, Steve Harvey. In the videos, Mary talked about how she and Steve met as well as details about how she found out about his affair with his current wife, Marjorie:
“There was a package that had come to the apartment. It was really supposed to go to our office, but somehow it made it’s way to the building and the man gave it to me. The instant that I saw it, it had confidential scrawled all across the top of that envelope and I don’t know, something just fell apart inside of me. So I stopped my hair dresser, took a break, I opened the package and I started to read this letter that was from this woman and she really started to go into detail about how long she had actually been in a relationship w/ my husband…When I first started to become aware that there were other people involved in my marriage, it was really hurtful to me because my marriage represented so much to me. It was my life. My children, my marriage, the fact that Steve and I literally came from nothing…I had worked hard. I had given it my all up to that point, to help make him successful.”
Later in the second video, Mary described the first time she confronted Marjorie, his current wife and how Steve left Mary with nothing. Literally. Mary also mentions how the responsorial book to Steve Harvey’s relationship books, Why Do I Have To Think Like A Man: How To Think Like A Lady And Still Get The Man by Shanae Hall and Rhonda Frost (purchase here), has helped her get through her situation and change her perspective on relationships.

I have never liked or respected Steve Harvey. He has always been very arrogant, nasty and thinks he’s an expert on everything. Having had a husband who cheated I can understand the frustration and hurt of how she feels. However there are always 2 sides to every story. She must use her frustration in a productive manner; if she feels so jilted she should have brought all if this up doing the divorce and had her attorney argue the equal division of assets. You have to protect yourself and take the emotion out if it and handle your business. As we can tell steve was handling his. Steve just needs to pay her some hush money before she totally wrecks his public image. This has somewhat soured my view of him and I am a fan. We can see how quickly Oprah dropped him I think there is sone truth to her story…

The majority of women in the world have been cheated on but we don’t walk around doing video’s or putting our business int he street especially wehn children are involved. She lost custody of her child. She needs to get her life together. It has been at least 3 years since her divorce. Get help. Bitterness can kill you. Regardless of what Steve DID, he has moved on with his life. It’s time for her to move on to. I have always heard Steve say he cheated. So why is this news. He admit daily about all the wrong stuff he did but once again the key word is DID. We all have done wrong things at some point in ur lives. No one is perfect. I’ve heard all this too except that he was cheating with Marjorie on his first wife. Steve did have everything in his name, but I do remember an article in either Essence or Ebony where he credited his ex-wife (when they were married) for helping him keep all his business straight. Steve seems to have gotten over on her because he has the money. He publicly stated that she helped him with everything, then to leave the mother of your son with nothing and get custody of their son is just low. He had the money and fame to fight her and won. She doesnt’ sound bitter at all, she sounds hurt that she helped Steve build his empire when they both had nothing and now he chose to cheat and give it all to his new wife. NO good man would treat the mother of his child who stood by him when he was broke & still has an underage child this way. Steve Harvey is a jackass and a jerk. I have worked around him numerous times in my career. I’ve never understood why the public fell for his routine. It’s so apparent that he is arrogant by the way he even talks to the co-hosts on his show. He can clown them, but the moment they say something back he gets mad. He has done a lot of people wrong. Someone mentioned the beef with Bernie Mac. If you go way back before Bernie had a show, Steve got on the radio and dogged Bernie and said if he was as good as him he would’ve had a TV show like him.
Let’s not mention that he fired Jacqui Reid as the co-host because unlike the cackling women he has on the show now, Jacqui had an opinion and would stand up to Steve. Now all you hear is “Oh Steve…Stop…you’re so funny.” He needs his ego stroked.
I believe every word this woman has to say. From my experience with him he is very nasty to people until he thinks they are a sponsor (which I was) or someone who can benefit him. It’s unfortunate that Steve has a mic and a platform to make his truth reality.

I guess what I don’t understand is how in the world could you allow yourself to be represented by your husband’s attorney? He obviously was going to be on Steve’s side. WOW….That’s a lot to take in. I don’t keep up with Steve Harvey that much, but I did find it VERY STRANGE that he divorced the 1st wife & pops up with a new wife that quick.
I think marital issues should be dealt with behind closed doors. I know that’s tough when the media is involved but lawyers should start to add clauses to the divorce papers stating that neither party can mention the name of the other, slander, etc. I would’ve just taken the high road and let it be what it is… most people think Steve is arrogant anyway. There are some who love him, some who don’t either way, we don’t know jack about Mary and in a few weeks… none of us will care again.
I can’t imagine how she must feel. It’s one thing for all this to happen to a regular person (get left for the mistress, no spousal support, child taken away, etc) and then it’s another thing for this to happen to person in the public eye. It’s just something you have to find a way to get over, it’s like life after losing someone. Steve is now someone else’s responsibility. Are yall crazy!!!!! There are plenty of bitter women commenting because yall are on Steve’s ish tough. First of all, God is a God of 2nd chances and we all have needed a 2nd, 3rd, 4th chance cause we are sinners! Furthermore, Mary is the 2nd wife and Marjorie is the 3rd…..did you all think about that. Maybe Mary is getting back what she did to the real 1st wife….none of us really know the entire truth. Mary is mad cause Steve does not want her anymore and apparently her son does not want to be around her either. Now why would they let Tiger Woods wife take the kids and Mary couldn’t. Get serious guys…..you know that man had to leave her with some money, property etc come on now. I am not saying she is not hurt or telling some truths but I believe she is exaggerating as well. She wants everyone to feel sorry for her so they will not support him. Its B.S. to me sorry ladies…. she waited a long time to tell the truth. Mary Get Over It and move on if he did something so wrong let God handle him somebody has to be the better person. Takes too much energy and time to make sure someone gets what is coming to them…she need to move on and find a better man….be thankful that God got her out of a bad situation if he was a cheater and manipulator and wait for God to bring her something good.
