We’d like to introduce you to Celestina. Think you recognize her? She is mostly noted for her leading role in legendary artist Prince’s video phenomenon “Black Sweat,” and starring in MTV’s hit series, DanceLife produced by Jennifer Lopez.
Celestina is now working on defining her own brand in music with what she likes to call Tribal Electronica. Growing up both in Nigeria and in the U.S., Celestina brings a unique merge of an exotic African flare and pop/electronic music.

She’s gorgeous!!! But I don’t like the song – it’s too busy. AND – I don’t like the video – it seems like it’s trying too hard. She DOES have that “star” quality – I think she just needs the right material. Artist today don’t seem to realize that if you give people good music – they will buy.

She’s pretty but her music reminds me of Alesha Dixon and that isn’t a compliment! She kind of sounds like a black Kesha, again that’s not a compliment. Dancer yes, singer no. She should stick to what she’s good at, maybe even choreograph for others or simply make better music.

She definitely has star quality and attitude, but her voice is nothing special. She sounds like one of those singers who can carry a tune, not actually sing her behind off or has a wonderful singing voice. The song is catchy but the beat is just not hot enough. I would really, really, really, love to see a mainstream DARK SKINNED BLACK female make it into the music industry. I’m tired of these light skinned or bi-racial black chicks being chosen as singers just because they are light. Blacks come in all different shades you know, and LOL this comment is coming from someone who is light herself. Also, I want a bunch of new singers this year! I am sick of seeing and hearing about Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Kesha, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Ciara, Keri Hilson, and many who have been in the industry for a while and just won’t make it, no matter how hard they try.
