UK. singer Alexandra Burke performed at Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday (February 10) in London, England. The 2008 X-factor winner dazed the crowd with her outfits and performances throughout the night. She will be performing select dates on her ‘All Night Long’ tour up until June.
And before you go in about her biting Beyonce’s style, she has cited numerous times that Beyonce is a major influence and even performed a Desitiny’s Child set during the concert (video after the cut).

I see she was trying hard to pull a Beyonce, even the dance moves and all. But it doesn’t work, especially performing bubble gum songs like that, and looking like a drag queen version of Beyonce.
I don’t think the silver leotard thing looked flattering on her at all, it made her look fat.

And the male dancers looked gay. Almost like in Lady GaGa Alejandro video. I’m pretty sure one of them even had make-up on.

Alex is the real deal and a better singer than Beyonce who may be the better performer but Alex is still only 22.She is a pop star for real and I cannot think of anyone in the UK who is better.Seeing her tonight at the O2 cannot wait.

Having seen Alex on tour I agree her hair needs a black hair stylist but the tour is so brilliant and her voice just spectacular you do not notice her costumes.

Good to see the black Brits getting it on. She has a decent voice and potential as a energetic performer( like Tina, Janet, Bey) but she needs to leave Bey’s name out of her act ,even if she is jacking – keep them guessing and deny, deny, deny, all the way to the bank.
Her own was decent for her to sing. I think with the Destiny’s Child songs, there was a little too much British accent, so they didn’t sound right to me

Loves me some Alexandra, but this reminds me of a Vegas act. The costumes, DC medley, “how U doin” male dance moves, it’s a bit too much. As far as all the tranny comments, I blame it on the makeup. If you saw her on X Factor you know that this is a gorgeous girl makeup free and all.

I’m always glad when someone who has actually been along to a live performance pops up to voice an opinion (cheers, Malcolm); reading elsewhere fans’ comments on the quality of Alex’s voice, her interaction with her audience, her dancing, her energy and stage presence has been interesting. I’ve read fans’ reviews where having seen her on tour once, they’ve been inspired enough to book to see her again, catching her in 2/3 other U.K. cities, even if it involvoes travelling a fair distance from their home cities. I think those people are most likely focussed on vocals over hair and stage costumes.
Alex has chosen as part of her show to feature material by her friend, Beyonce,and there’s also a cover of one of Donna Summer’s hits (“On the Radio”) and also one of Ne-yo’s (“Closer”). I don’t see where/how any of this might mean she is trying to be someone she isn’t, especially when most of the concert material – including Bruno Mars penned “Perfect” – does not consist of “covers.”
(Mike, this is Alex’s first ever headlining tour, there is absolutely nothing wrong with “just performing in theatures and ballrooms”, and since you asked, the answer to your question is no. She was performing at the O2 Arena a few days ago, too…..)
