Football player Chad Ochocinco Johnson and his fiance “VH1 Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada pose for photos at the Maxim Party Powered during Superbowl weekedn in Dallas, Texas on Saturday (February 5).
The duo were engaged last November; no word on when the wedding date is. Speaking of wedding dates, Chad spoke to Entertainment Tonight on Friday about Evelyn, the wedding plans (or lack thereof) and more. Check out some snippets below:
On The Wedding Plans:
“I haven’t made wedding plans. Right now, I’m still in the stage of trying to make sure we’re on the same page before we [take that step], you know? It has to work. There ain’t no going back. I done made that commitment, I done made that step, it’s like when I decided to play football. I made that commitment to play the game and there would be ups and downs … the same thing will go for her now. But it ain’t no backpedaling. I don’t play DB [defensive back]. I play receiver, I go forward.
On his relationship with Evelyn:
“To be honest, we bump heads. Our personalities. I can put my foot down but I’m trying to let her feel like she wears the pants. That’s what you’ve got to do sometimes. You’ve got to reverse it.”On his money:
The thing is, I can’t even spend it, man. Don’t get engaged man, don’t get engaged. She done put a stop to all the spending and all the having fun and I’m on a budget every month now and it’s frustrating because that wild side and that fun Chad is going away.
