Actresses Viola Davis, Loretta Devine, Angela Bassett and Jennifer Hudson were among the honorees at the 4th Annual ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon in Beverly Hills on Thursday afternoon (February 24). Confirmed guests included: Forest Whitaker, Brandy, Jenifer Lewis, Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, and more!
Concrete Loop’s Angel Laws & Taj Washington were invited media guest for the event and they happened to capture exclusive video from inside! Angel had this to say about the event:
Overall, the luncheon was very inspiring and it was great to see so many black women in one room supporting each other. Hopefully, they will start airing future luncheons on Television because that type of positivity needs to be shared.

Kerry is classically gorgeous to perfection. But in profile photos she has no backside. Nada. Looks like a white girl. What happened? Was she always built like this and we never noticed? However, the lady looks like the glamour of old Hollywood. Stunning.

Everyone looked radiant. The added weight on Tia looks great actually and she’s carrying nicely. Viola always shines whenever she speaks. If with the smallest roles she may play in a film, she always sticks out and makes it memorable. I love Angela Bassett too….She doesn’t take crap from anyone for a pay check.
