Nice
This looks wonderful.
Finally a black movie that is not directed by tyler perry, i definately can’t wait for this, looks good.
NO Rappers, Good! And no men dressed up as women cracking jokes every other second.
Refreshing! Will support
No hate, but why are all “black cinema” either dramas or romantic/spiritual films? Why are there no black action films or historical dramas staring black actors and directed by black directors? It seems that everything has turned into a “woe is me my man is cheating” or an “I’m a strong black single mother” film. What gives?
that’s not what this film is about. its about finding yourself after loss. Give it a chance. It’s a very quiet film. We DO have quiet moments too! lol.
But there are plenty of historical dramas…Roots, Boycott, Malcolm X….and action too….from Gary Gray, Antoine Fuqua…i think black film is starting to reflect more realism…real, not glorified (Precious), challenges in our lives, relationships and dreams. Its not about escape, its about reflection, no? I agree, we aren’t all angst….but what about stories that reflect REAL black life…not pathos.
It look like a make for tv or hbo type of movie.
looks good, will go see!
I would love to see it.
Look good. I will see it.
Am I alone in thinking that after viewing this trailer that this movie is as much fun as watching paint dry? Hopefully, there is more to the film then what the preview showed and, hopefully, there will be an improved trailer.
yes you are alone in that. you need to go see big mommas or something. more your speed i suppose?
OK – it’s times like this that I regret leaving NY (city) and hate the fact that I don’t live in a major city with a large “urban” (which is code for black) population. I reallllllly want to see this movie in theatres, but because of where I live – I know it would never come here *sigh*.
I would love to see this – if anyone knows the cities/theatres it’s playing in – please post it. Thank you!!
