Erykah Badu drops a clip for her latest offering from New Amerykah Part II: Return of the Ankh, “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long.” The new music video was directed by Flying Lotus. New Amerykah Part II: Return of the Ankh is in stores now.

    This is my favorite song on the album! I always thought it should have been the second single. I hadn’t been into Erykah since this her first album but this one was great. Not the best video but I will take it, she probably paid for it herself. Labels aren’t really investing/spending on many artists these days.

    I was just thinking about this song the other day! I am so glad Ms. Badu created a video for it. I do believe she could have added a bit more action in the mix BUT Ms. Badu ALWAYS DOES HER, and I respect that!

    Luv the song and the video. sometimes less means more. If u dnt overstand the video or view it w/an open mind u will miss it. Erika is a brilliant artist who’s vision is so outside the box everybody can’t relate so she appears wead and creepy to those who don’t overstand.her music never disappoints me and it always have a valid msg. She educates while entertaining and that’s something we don’t get very often today so keep the hits flowing and we luv u n the ALL. Real talk.
