Ancient Egyptian (Kemetian) statue ,Olmec statue all African. …The black women played her role as mother natural. There was so much history in this video. I watched an interview with this Black anthropologist from the 80′s a African born in Senegal. All the images in the documentary was in this video. “We’ve lacked intermediate fossils between pre-humans and modern humans, between 100,000 and 300,000 years ago, and that’s where the Herto fossils fit,” said paleoanthropologist Tim White, professor of integrative biology at the University of California, Berkeley, and a co-leader of the team that excavated and analyzed the discovery site. “Now, the fossil record meshes with the molecular evidence.”
“With these new crania,” he added, “we can now see what our direct ancestors looked like.”

Loved it. It was very well directed. This is real music. Nas raised some very questionable questions during his verse though. I love Damian’s tone of voice, the jamaican accent undertone. The video was very visually stimulated. Simulation in it’s fullest.

This is my first time on this site. I saw the link for the video on justjared.com and wanted to check it out. Thank you so much for posting it and I’m so incredibly stoked that they actually did a video for this song. I’ve read the comments and for those of you who have not purchased the album I can tell you the it is indeed excellent.
I’d never listened to anything by Damian before and I wouldn’t neccessarily classify myself as a Nas fan and I never, I mean never post comments on blogs but I had to because I’m telling you these guys did such an excellent job on this project, it just blows you away. I picked up the album on a fluke.
I was buying something else on amazon and this cd popped up so I checked out the reviews and it had gotten 5 stars on amazon and by over 100 people which if you shop on the site you know that it is rare, so I decided to check it out and I was so surprised by the fact that I fell head over heels in love with it. And yes it is ashame that it hasn’t gotten more press, sales, and awards because it is an awesome product. Sorry to be so long-winded.

Beautiful video! They spoke the truth. Oh yeah, this CD is worth the $$$, I’ve had it since last year. Of course it’s too thought provoking and positive for the radio to play it.
Funny thing is… I hear Nas, this song and the other tracks on this CD being played in upscale bars/hotels/lounges in Europe (Amsterdam, London, Paris) all the time.
I find it interesting how America doesn’t seem to appreciate quality music anymore. Capitalism is robbing black music of it’s culture, its soul…and dumbing it down. Just turn on 106th & Park if you think I’m lying.
