Following his sold-out stop at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday, legendary musician Prince donated the Harlem Children’s Zone a line of credit of $1 million and $250,000 lines of credit to the Uptown Dance Academy and American Ballet Theatre to help pave the way for the next generation’s artistic geniuses. The lines of credit were issued so that Prince could remain informed of the organizations’ needs.

“A function of our love for the next generation is instilling in them our own hard-fought knowledge,” Prince said. “We can’t wait and see—or only hope for—the future of those coming after us. We must actively take responsibility for ensuring their success.”
