Mary Harvey is at it again. The former wife of Steve Harvey stopped by 102.3 FM last week and did one last interview in response to her former husband, Steve Harvey. Since Mary’s last interview, Steve has since then visited ABC’s The View and has made a national attempt to clear up his name, thus dragging Mary’s name in the dirt. Well Mary Shackelford refuses to keep quiet…yet again. In an exclusive interview with the DC radio station, Mary set the record straight and continues to claim that she is telling the truth. We could’ve sworn there was some kind of gag order preventing her from speaking on the matter again…Either way, she decided to break it down and make her truth clear one last time:
On the $40,000 monthly payments:
He was ordered to pay me $40,000 but I only got it 10 months. So we’re talking about $400,000 that he paid out to me for a 10-month period. So I only got 10 months of those payments. So what we’re back to again is Mary never got a settlement. Like I said, when you look at a document and someone signed off on that document, that’s one thing. A lot of people of been awarded a lot of things but whether they got those things is another issue.On the three homes she supposedly received:
The first home was a $200,000 home that Steve and I purchased for our housekeeping staff….Eventually, Steve asked them to go to Atlanta with him which left that house sitting there. The personal assistant she is in that house right now. When I hired her she told me she was homeless. The second house he is talking about is a house that he and I bought, that he and I and the boys shared. That house I put on the market because after the divorce I did not want to live in that house. The third home is that we are really talking about was our $5 million mansion. That was the home we were all living in when the divorce happened. Now, when I let the personal assistant have and I mean have that house, and I sold the second house, thinking I would have my mansion to stay in but he waited right until those two homes were gone and I did get awarded that home my separate sole property, it wasn’t two weeks later he and his attorney went back into the courtroom and to say I was causing him a financial hardship. He was ordered to pay that mortgage until the house was paid off or if I sell the house that would be income for me which I really counted on. So when he went back to the court and they actually made me put my house on the market I had to get out of it just so he could satisfy the mortgage. I didn’t get any proceeds from that house. So I said all of that to say anything can be put into a document to say this is what she got but did she get it?
On sending Wynton off on a plane to his father:
Wynton should be with his father because I can’t raise Wynton into a young man. That’s something his father should be doing but what I did not agree to was to be kept out of Wynton’s life. Wynton had asked to go to live with his father of course I did not want to do that cause I wanted to keep him with me. So I allowed Wynton that opportunity to spend some time with his dad but there was not an agreement that ‘Mary, you’re out of Wynton’s life.’ That was a decision he and his wife made. So I wanted to make that clear that at this time I am not suing him for custody of Wynton.On the $1.5M she received in alimonies:
He did not give that to me. The property called The Ranch where he tutors the boys that he mentions on his show. That property belonged to the both of us. He refused to pay alimony, anything, so what I ended up doing was sell my portion of that property back to him. That is where that $1.5 million came from. [Source]
Why do we need to know any of this anyway? What difference is it supposed to make?
I mean she’s so adamant for us to believe her and it’s doing nothing for no one.

If the divorce is final, why didn’t she ask for all this from the judge….an impartial party instead of trying to badmouth Steve in the public eye. I don’t know the whole story but now she’s sounding like a bitter scorned ex-wife.

The story you told when you first came out is now a totally different sounding story. Just be quiet. Whatever you got. You signed on it. Live with it like everybody else. Stop trying to bring other people down because you are not happy. You realy are starting to look jealous.Steve has more now than he did when he was with you.It happens. I don’t think she scorned at all. She just stating facts. In black relationships the other spouse never wants to see the other do good. In white relationships the male makes sure his ex-wife is comfortable. Everyone gets there fair share and remain friends. I wish alot of more blacks were like this. And why is she acting like Steve got Donald Trump money. How much does she think she is entitled to? If you went through all the money he gave you, then find a job.

I know I wouldn’t complain about it. However, Steve’s statement said she was supposed to get $40,000 per month from sometime in 2005 to 2009. I might be inclined to complain a little in that case.

I believe her. I think that she should sue the court that ruled in Steve’s favor because she just laid out the facts right here. Steve Harvey is a celebrity and people believe him because of it. He really should be ashamed of him self. When his son grows up to disrespect women, he should thank his Dad for showing him that honor and respect for women is not paramount. Granted, she has the right to be a bit salty. I mean we all know Steve didn’t do this in the smoothest way, so I mean lay off her a bit with that. She is entitled to be pist off. Well child, I wish i got $40,000 and 1.5million from somebody. Who knows whats going on, I believe her to a certain extent, she seems really passionate. Just not sure if she is passionate about telling the truth or lies. You know people everywhere think if you get loud and emotional, you must be telling the truth. With the type of lifestyle she is accustomed to living while being married to Steve, $40K to her may be like 40 cents. I think that because we all know Steve due his celebrity, we never knew Mary, so many of us are inclined to believe what Steve is saying, but we all know that some celebrities are known to turned a story into being what they want it to be because of their deep pockets. And speaking of a gag order – which is simply an order to keep a party or parites quiet. That may have been Steve’s attempt to make certain she didn’t air any of his dirty laundry so to speak who knows. We only know Steve Harvey the entertainer, but Mary was privy to knowing the Real Steve Harvey. I’ll never forget a somes years back during the time he had the Steve Harvey Show, in which he won an NAACP Image Award for. On the awards show that night, his then wife Mary helped in presenting him the award and even back then she looked visibly upset with him about something and I remember her saying that sometimes around the house Steve could get really full of himself and sometimes he had to be brought back to reality. So there was tension for a while. Mary may be telling the truth. Or it could be that Steve is telling the truth. I don’t know. But let’s not forget that what seems to get lost in all of this is what ended their marriage to begin with…..Steve’s infidelity with the woman he’s now married to. What I do know is this….NO ONE in this forum can say who’s definitively telling the truth if you are not an actual party in this situation. My opinion, I find it far fetched for her to make up all of these intricate details. But who knows — certainly none of us.

Honey, that’s the way of the world….many women get divorced and have to adjust their lives accordingly. You can’t be divorced and still live like you’re married. Many times judges will like @ lifestyle based on the child. She sent the child to Steve therefore his lifestyle is being maintained. @ the end of the day MARY is the one that filed for divorce…she shoulda took all of this into consideration but she was NOT broke by anyone’s standards…
You are an ex for a reason. It’s time to move on with your life. Your story is changing everytime you open your mouth. $40g a month for 10 months and $1.5 million. If you feel you have been wronged why have you waited so long to some out with this, you are looking like the ex-wife from hell. He’s moved on, now why don’t you do the same thing. I’m riding with Mary. I believe things happened fast and she didn’t know what to do, was given bad “girlfriend” if any advice and got scammed. What she built with Steve is the same that tramp Camille did with Kelsey and is walking away with $50 mil. Steve doesn’t have as much but Mary PLEASE GET A LAWYER and see what she can get from then to now because he clearly owes. I believe her…he did cheat on her and most likely with many different women.
That man is not a saint and what he did was wrong.
However, if he was the man that he claims he is. He should have paid her what was ordered and moved on with his life instead of coming back to make digs and take from her.

Mary what you say may be true but you’ve picked the wrong time to bring it all up. You should have been doing all of this when the divorce was going on. Now I do believe still you weren’t treated fairly in the divorce settlement, but his side of the story is on court documents and unless you intend to go back into court over this baby, game over. One thing can prove all this . . . BANK STATEMENTS! Let’s see receipts of payment from Steve to Mary. Let’s see money transfer receipts…Let’s see Mary’s statements of when money was deposited into her account. That’s that about $$.
Property, let’s see the town records. If Steve was suffering financial hardship, how is it possible to take on financing Marjorie’s however many kids? Let’s see where the proceeds of the property went.
I don’t know why anyone didn’t ask verifiable for receipts and statements. That solves everything.
