Almost exactly two years after the horrific Grammy night assault on her by Chris Brown, the singer has agreed to allow the restraining order keeping him away from her to be softened, her lawyer, Donald Etra, tells E! News.
While Rihanna has requested that the order be dropped to a level one—meaning that they can have contact as long as Brown doesn’t annoy, molest or harass her—and
Brown attorney Mark Geragos has been informed of her approval, Geragos still needs to go to court to have the order officially modified by a judge.

Even though he is nominated, Chris Brown WON’T be attending the Grammy’s this weekend, due prior commitments. But he is set to participate in NBA ALL-STAR weekend and Rihanna will be there too because she is the half-time show entertainment.

You are right! Rihanna stated that the stay-away order was unnecessary as did Chris, so she didn’t apply this order against him – the JUDGE did. Like Chris, Rihanna had to also obey this order because if they didn’t, then jail time was their consequence. I’m glad it was lowered to a level one so that they can now attend award shows and other events without boundaries; its more convenient now without the order than with it.
